    Chargers sign ex-Rams WR Austin Pettis

    The San Diego Chargers have signed former Rams wide receiver Austin Pettis on Friday, per the team's official website. Details of the contract were not made public. Pettis, a California native, worked out for San Diego late December after being cut by St. Louis in October. He caught 12 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown before he was cut. He could also serve a role in special teams as a returne with his new club.

    The San Diego Chargers held a workout for former St. Louis Rams wideout Austin Pettis, according to ESPN. Pettis was cut by St. Louis in October, and hasn't hooked on with a team just yet. The Chargers are dealing with a number of injuries at the receiver position, and are looking to sign Pettis as depth. Pettis caught 12 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown before he was cut.

    Austin Pettis catches touchdown in Week 3 loss

    St. Louis Rams wide receiver Austin Pettis caught three of his four targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in his team's 34-31 loss to the Cowboys in Week 3. Davis notched three receptions and four targets for the second straight week, with the big catch coming in the fourth quarter, as Austin Davis hit him in the left side of the end zone to put the team within three points with less than three minutes to play. Pettis has six catches, 74 yards and one touchdown going into the team's Week 4 bye.

    Austin Pettis makes three grabs in in over Buccaneers

    St. Louis Rams wide receiver Austin Pettis was limited to three catches in his team's Week 2 win over the Buccaneers in Tampa. Pettis was held without a grab in the first half, but caught passes for 13 and 6 yards in the third quarter. He made an acrobatic 27-yard reception late in the fourth quarter, which led to the team's game-winning field goal. He was targeted four times and finished with three catches for 46 yards in a 19-17 victory. The Rams will be back at home to host the Cowboys in Week 3.
