    Garrett Hartley: Working out for Giants

    Garrett Hartley will work out for the Giants on Monday, NorthJersey.com reports.Hartley's workout comes after Giants kicker Josh Brown was recently handed a one-game suspension and backup Tom Obarski missed a 28-yard field goal attempt in New York's preseason game over the weekend. With coach Ben McAdoo looking to increase competition at the position, a group of kickers has been brought in to work out for the Giants to start this week, and Hartley could conceivably receive a contract offer if he impresses the team.

    Steelers place K Garrett Hartely on IR among Monday's moves

    The Pittsburgh Steelers made a slew of roster moves Monday, including placing offensive tackle Mike Adams on the PUP list to begin the season. Pittsburgh also placed cornerback Senquez Golson and kicker Garrett Hartley on injured reserve, which means both players will miss the 2015 season. Tight end Cameron Clear, defensive end Niko Davis and tight end Ray Hamilton were all waived/injured. The Steelers also released G Miles Dieffenbach, WR Kenzel Doe, WR C.J. Goodwin, RB Braylon Heard, DE Joe Kruger, DT Joe Okafor, OL Collin Rahrig, CB Jordan Sullen, OT Kevin Whimpey and S Ian Wild.

    Browns waive K Garrett Hartley, three others

    The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they have waived kicker Garrett Hartley, along with wide receiver Phil Bates, defensive lineman Christian Tupou and defensive back Varmah Sonie, per the Akron Beacon Journal.  Hartley was signed by the Browns prior to Week 15 last season and was 3-for-3 in his only field goal attempts. Prior to that, he played for six seasons with the Saints.

    Browns PK Hartley perfect in Week 16 defeat

    Cleveland Browns new placekicker Garrett Hartley received no opportunities upon his arrival in Week 15, but knocked down both chances Sunday at Carolina. Hartley booted a 43-yarder to tie the game early in the second quarter and added a 31-yarder late in the third. He also nailed his lone extra point attempt.

    Browns waive Billy Cundiff, sign Garrett Hartley

    The Cleveland Browns have released Billy Cundiff with an injury settlement and signed former Saints kicker Garrett Hartley, per the team's official website. Cundiff sprained his knee in practice Thursday and was ruled questionable for Week 15 prior to the roster move. He missed a kick in each of the previous five games. He converted 22 of 29 kicks this season.

    Report: Saints hold kicker tryouts

    The New Orleans Saints tried out three kickers Wednesday, but it is unknown if they are preparing to release current kicker Shayne Graham or establishing fallback options if Graham was to go down, according to ESPN reporter Mike Triplett.  Kickers who worked out for the Saints included: Garrett Hartley, Derek Dimke and Zach Hocker. Hartley, who was released by the team last December, was New Orleans' kicker during their 2009 Super Bowl run.

    Report: Lions work out three kickers Tuesday

    The Detroit Lions, who are thinking about replacing rookie kicker Nate Freese, worked out kickers Rob Bironas, Alex Henery and Garrett Hartley on Tuesday, a source told ESPN. Lions coach Jim Caldwell said Monday the team would consider a change at kicker after Freese has missed three field goals through two games.

    The New Orleans Saints waived kicker Garrett Hartley and cornerback Chris Carr, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Hartley missed a pair of field goals Week 15 at St. Louis. He made 22 of 30 (73.3 percent) this season, good for 30th in the NFL.
