    Bills' Charles Clay: Sunday rest

Clay sat out Sunday's training camp practice as a rest day, John Murphy of BuffaloBuffalo Bills.com reports. This could be a frequent occurrence throughout the summer for Clay, as his knee may not be 100 percent for quite some time. He's also got quite a bit of wear and tear on his body, and with there being a big drop-off between Clay and whoever wins the No. 2 tight end job, you can bet the team will closely monitor his reps.

Texans' Chris Polk: No carries in playoff loss

Chris Polk (knee) did not get a carry nor was he targeted in Saturday's 30-0 loss to Kansas City in the wild-card round of the playoffs. For a good portion of the regular season, after Arian Foster went down with a season-ending Achilles injury, Polk looked like the top backup who was threatening lead back Alfred Blue. But he eventually lost playing time to Jonathan Grimes and will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent. He had a career-high 99 carries for 334 yards (3.4 ypa) and caught 16 passes for 109 yards. The Houston Texans may move on from Foster, opening up the running back job, but Polk is not considered an offseason priority, though his organizational familiarity may be an asset.

Texans' Chris Polk: Limited touches in win

Chris Polk (knee) had three carries for four yards in Houston's 30-6 win over Jacksonville in Week 17.Polk and Jonathan Grimes each shared top-backup status behind Alfred Blue at various points during the season, but it's Grimes (two touchdowns against the Jaguars) who has the upper hand heading into the first-round of the playoffs when Houston hosts Kansas City. Polk will remain part of a three-back committee, but his usage is subject to other factors.

Texans' Chris Polk: Splits carries with Alfred Blue

Chris Polk (knee) rushed 11 times for 38 yards, but was not targeted in the passing game during Sunday's win in Tennessee.Polk split carries with Alfred Blue (back), seeing 11 total touches to Blue's 16. Neither was able to distinguish themselves as both failed to break the 4.0 yard-per-carry mark, so expect a similar distribution in next week's season finale against the Jaguars.

Texans' Chris Polk: Only four touches in win

Chris Polk (knee) rushed four times for six yards Sunday against the Colts.Polk started last weekend's game against the Patriots, but Alfred Blue took over the backfield Sunday, rushing 20 times for 107 yards. Blue was limited to special teams duty against the Pats but his return to health pushed him back to the top of the depth chart, where he'll likely be in Week 16 against the Titans, which obviously limits Polk's fantasy upside.

Texans' Chris Polk: Starts Sunday night

Chris Polk served as the Houston Texans' starting running back Sunday night against the Patriots, the Houston Chronicle reports.Polk replaced teammate Alfred Blue, who was relegated to only special teams work Sunday night, after previously serving as the Texans' primary replacement for Arian Foster (Achilles). In his starting role, Polk totaled 34 rushing yards on 11 carries, but Jonathan Grimes led the Texans with 53 yards on seven carries. In a committee-based, underwhelming rushing attack, Polk's starting role could certainly change, but it's worth noting he was Houston's first-choice at running back in Week 14.

Texans' Chris Polk: Splits work with Grimes

Chris Polk had 11 carries for 34 yards and two catches for 14 yards (two targets) in Sunday's 27-6 loss to the Patriots.According to Pro Football Focus, the running-backs snaps were divided between Polk (22), Jonathan Grimes (23) and Akeem Hunt (seven), with Alfred Blue active but not having a role on offense. Polk's workload is at least trending in the right direction the past few weeks, but he's still splitting snaps in an unproductive backfield.

Texans' Chris Polk: Leads backfield in loss

Chris Polk rushed 12 times for 61 yards and caught his only target for an 11-yard touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Bills. After failing to get double-digit touches in all but one game this season, Polk led the Houston Texans' backfield Sunday, as Jonathan Grimes rushed five times for 28 yards and Alfred Blue four times for 14 yards. Blue has been dealing with a back injury of late, but there wasn't any indication that he'd be so limited Sunday that Polk would get the most touches. While the increase in playing time is encouraging, up next on the schedule is a Week 14 matchup against the Patriots, who have been fairly strong against the run this season.

Texans' Chris Polk: Totals 27 yards against the Saints

Chris Polk rushed for 21 yards on six carries and added a six-yard catch in Sunday's win over the Saints.Polk has 20 touches over his past three games - four fewer than No. 3 back Jonathan Grimes. Having not scored a touchdown since Week 5, Polk does not appear set to make up for his more modest role by vulturing touchdowns. In fact, the Houston Texans are particularly pass-heavy near the end zone, rushing for just five touchdowns as compared to 22 through the air this season. With Houston picking up momentum, don't expect any changes in operations.

Texans' Chris Polk: Suits up Sunday

Chris Polk (knee, hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Saints.Polk's fantasy ceiling remains limited, however, as long as both Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes remain healthy enough to handle work in the Houston backfield.
