Jonas Gray: Reaches injury settlement with Jaguars
Jonas Gray (quadriceps) was released from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with the Jaguars, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports.Gray was initially waived by Jacksonville last week and then placed on IR. Prior to injuring his leg, Gray faced an uphill battle to make the team, and it appears he wasn't a part of their future plans, so he and the Jaguars decided to part ways.

Jonas Gray: Placed on waived/injured list
Jonas Gray (quad) was placed on the Jaguars' waived/injured list Wednesday.Gray has been dealing with a quad injury that prevented him from participating in Jacksonville's preseason opener. However, he was just fourth on the Jaguars' RB depth chart and remained without a timetable to return to action, which altogether made him a suitable candidate to be nixed from the team's 90-man roster in order to make room for DT T.J. Barnes

Jaguars' Jonas Gray: Does not practice Saturday
Jonas Gray did not practice on Saturday due to a quad injury.Gray didn't participate in Thursday's loss to the Jets and no timetable has been released for his injury. While he's out, look for young backs such as Corey Grant and Joe Banyard to see increased reps as they hope to make the 53-man roster.

Jaguars' Jonas Gray: Tallies 27 yards against Texans
Jonas Gray rushed for 23 yards on nine carries and had a four-yard reception in Sunday's loss to Houston.Gray doubled his workload in his second game in Jacksonville from five touches to 10. His total yards decreased, however, from 31 to 27. Though the diminished production no doubt has a lot to do with going from playing one of the league's worst defenses in New Orleans to one of the best in Houston, Gray showed nothing that would indicate that he'll challenge T.J. Yeldon for carries in 2016.

Jaguars' Jonas Gray: Could see increased workload
Jonas Gray could see an increased workload Sunday against the Texans.Gray backed up Denard Robinson last week against the Saints, finishing with 31 yards on five carries, with a 25-yard rush that was nullified by a holding penalty. Starter T.J. Yeldon's (knee) status is very much up in the air entering Week 17, and if he doesn't play, Gray could be slated for a larger share of the carries alongside Robinson. "It was good to see Jonas get some carries," offensive coordinator Greg Olson said. "We'll try to find out more about him in this finale but I have a good feel for Denard (Robinson) right now and where he's at. ... I have a pretty good feel for T.J. and Denard and trying to get a better feel for Jonas this week." Even if Robinson ends up with the starting designation, it looks as though the Jacksonville Jaguars will attempt to get an extended look at Gray in what's ultimately a meaningless game.

Jaguars' Jonas Gray: Quiet in loss to Saints
Jonas Gray led the Jacksonville Jaguars with 31 yards on five carries in Sunday's loss to the Saints.Gray joined the team off of the Dolphins' practice squad earlier in the month, and Sunday marked his first action in a Jaguars uniform. While listed as the backup to Denard Robinson, Gray ended up essentially splitting the workload with Robinson, though the Jaguars rushed only 15 times as a team after falling behind 24-0 in the first half. If primary starter T.J. Yeldon (knee) remains out, Robinson figures to enter Week 17's matchup with Houston as the No. 1 back, but Gray likely showed enough Sunday - he broke off a 23-yard run, the Jags' longest of the day - to warrant a minor backup role. If Yeldon is cleared to return, Gray may struggle to see the field.

Jonas Gray: Signing with Jaguars
The Jaguars are signing Jonas Gray off the Dolphins' practice squad, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. With T.J. Yeldon (knee) unable to finish Sunday's win over the Colts, the Jaguars were left with Denard Robinson and Joe Banyard in the backfield. The early-week transaction is a bad sign for Yeldon's chances of suiting up for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but it is also possible that the Jaguars are just being cautious. Robinson will get most of the work if Yeldon misses time, with Gray and Banyard perhaps chipping in.

Jonas Gray: Joins Miami's practice squad
Jonas Gray, who was cut by the Dolphins on Monday, has joined the team's practice squad, the Miami Herald reports.Despite a rash of running back injuries around the league, Gray was unable to land a 53-man roster spot, so he'll stay with the Dolphins and is thus an injury away from returning to the team's backfield mix, which now includes Lamar Miller, Jay Ajayi and Damien Williams.

Jonas Gray: Released Tuesday morning
Jonas Gray was released by the Dolphins on Tuesday, the Miami Herald reports.Rookie running back Jay Ajayi gained 41 yards on five carries in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Bills, likely establishing himself as Lamar Miller's top backup in the process. Gray thus became expendable, but he could latch on with another team by the end of the week. His former squad, the Patriots, just lost Dion Lewis (knee) for the rest of the season.

Dolphins' Jonas Gray: Has four receptions in loss
Jonas Gray had four receptions for 50 yards as the Miami Dolphins got routed by the Patriots on Thursday night.Gray was more involved in the passing game as the Dolphins were trailing almost from the get go and forced to throw the ball on most downs. So much for the revenge theory though as Gray did not get into the end zone.
