    Brandon McGee: Waived by Lions

    Brandon McGee was waived by the Lions on Tuesday.McGee didn't quite survive long enough to be a part of the 75-man roster, while the Lions have four clear top options at cornerback in Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, Quan Diggs, and Darrin Walls. The team could bring back McGee during the regular season if injuries occur and they need additional depth.

    Lions' Brandon McGee: Surfaces in Detroit

    Brandon McGee signed a contract with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, MLive.com reports.The Lions seem comfortable entering the 2016 campaign with Darius Slay, Nevin Lawson, Quan Diggs and Darrin Walls serving as their top four cornerbacks, but the signing of McGee, at the expense of the recently waived Keith Williams, may signal the team is unsure of the depth behind them.     Rams place Brandon McGee on IR, sign Jamea Thomas

    The St. Louis Rams placed cornerback Brandon McGee (foot) on injured reserve Saturday. He hasn't played since Week 2 and will miss the remainder of the season with the injury. The team promoted defensive back Jemea Thomas from the practice squad to fill the open roster spot. He has yet to play in a regular-season game this season.

    Rams CBs Jenkins, Johnson questionable Week 8 in KC

    Cornerbacks Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson are questionable with knee injuries, according to the injury report released Friday by the St. Louis Rams for their Sunday game at Kansas City. The only other non-probables are defensive back Brandon McGee (foot) and center Tim Barnes (shoulder). Both have been ruled out. Deemed probable are wideout Kenny Britt (ankle), running back Benny Cunningham (knee), linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar (toe), defensive linemen Ethan Westbrooks (hand) and William Hayes (illness), safety T.J. McDonald (concussion), tackle Rodger Saffold (knee) and kicker Greg Zuerlein (illness).

    Buccaneers mostly healthy heading into Week 8 game
