Eagles release RB Matthew Tucker
The Philadelphia Eagles have waived running back Matthew Tucker with a non-football injury, per ESPN. Tucker spent the last two seasons with the team, but mostly on the practice squad. He did earn playing time in two games as a rookie in 2013, though with no rushing attempts.

Eagles trim final roster to 53 players
The Philadelphia Eagles announced their final cuts to trim the roster to 53 players Saturday. The following players were all released Saturday: linebackers Emmanuel Acho and Josh Kaddu; defensive linemen Wade Keliikipi and Damion Square; defensive backs Curtis Marsh, Roc Carmichael, Keelan Johnson and Ed Reynolds; quarterback G.J. Kinne; running backs Kenjon Barner (waived/injured), Henry Josey and Matthew Tucker; wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah, Quron Pratt, Will Murphy and Damaris Johnson ; kicker Alex Henery; and offensive linemen Kevin Graf and Josh Andrews. The team also added wide receiver Arrelious Benn (back) and linebacker Travis Long (knee) to injured reserve.

Shoulder injury knocks Matthew Tucker out of preseason finale
Philadelphia Eagles running back Matthew Tucker left Thursday's exhibition finale against the Jets with a shoulder injury. He sustained the injury in the first half and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest, per the team's official website.

Three Eagles ready to return Thursday
Philadelphia Eagles receivers Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin have both been cleared to play Thursday night against the Steelers in preseason action. Cooper has been dealing with a foot injury, which caused him to miss the first two exhibition games. Maclin was working his way back from a hamstring injury. Running back Matthew Tucker has also been cleared to play Thursday.

Matthew Tucker scores twice, exits game with hamstring injury
Philadelphia Eagles running back Matthew Tucker found the end zone twice but was forced out of Friday's preseason opener against the Bears at Soldier Field with a hamstring injury.Tucker scored on a 4-yard run and a 1-yard dash in the second quarter. He finished with eight carries for 40 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught one pass for a gain of 15 yards. He'll look to shake off the injury bug Friday at New England.
