Zaviar Gooden was signed to the Detroit Lions' active 53-man roster on Saturday, James Palmer of NFL.com reports.In the wake of OLBs DeAndre Levy (quadriceps) and Antwione Williams (hamstring) being ruled out for the Lions' divisional showdown with the Packers on Sunday, Detroit only had two healthy outside linebackers left standing. Zaviar Gooden only probable on Titans' Week 17 injury report
Tennessee Titans linebacker Zaviar Gooden (hamstring) was the only player on Tennessee's final injury report listed as probable for Sunday's season finale against the Colts. Defensive tackle Sammie Lee Hill (foot), tackle Terren Jones (concussion) tackle Byron Stingily (ankle), linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (hamstring), tackle Taylor Lewan (ankle) and quarterback Zach Mettenberger (shoulder) were labeled as questionable. According to the Tennessean, Lewan and Mettenberger aren't expected to play. Coach Ken Whisenhunt did not rule out the possibility of dressing Mettenberger as an emergency option.

Titans list inactives for Week 16
The Tennessee Titans have listed QB Zach Mettenberger, DB Jemea Thomas, LB Zaviar Gooden, LB Dontay Moch, OT Terren Jones, OT Taylor Lewan and DL Mike Martin as inactive Week 16 against the Jaguars. Both Mettenberger and Lewan were listed as doubtful heading into the contest. Neither was expected to take the field. Gooden was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury. The other four players listed are healthy scratches.

Titans set with injury report for Thursday game
The Tennessee Titans have ruled out running back Dexter McCluster (knee) for their Thursday night game against Jacksonville. Tackle Taylor Lewan (ankle) is listed as doubtful, but will likely be sidelined as well. Deemed questionable are wide receiver Kendall Wright (hand), tight end Delanie Walker (knee), tackle Byron Stingily (ankle) and linebackers Zaviar Gooden (hamstring) and Kamerion Wimbley (hamstring). Walker, however, has already declared himself ready to roll. The lone probable is safety Daimion Stafford (concussion), who has been cleared for practice.

Titans LB Avery Williamson cutting into time of Zaviar Gooden
Fifth-round pick Avery Williamson has cut into the snaps of veteran inside linebacker Zaviar Gooden for the Tennessee Titans, The Tennessean has reported. The rookie did not play on defense until Week 3, but he made four tackles in 13 snaps against Cincinnati. He was on the field for 26 snaps last week against Indianapolis and made nine tackles. He has been playing with the first team this week in practice. "(Williams is) doing a nice job," Ken Whisenhunt said. "He has to learn his assignments ... and he has to be able to execute them consistently. It's a process that all your young players go through. Everyone wants to throw young players out there, but sometimes they're not ready yet."

Tennessee Titans inside linebacker Zach Brown is expected to miss the rest of the season after tearing his pectoral muscle Week 1, reports the Tennessean. Zaviar Gooden replaced Brown on Sunday against the Chiefs, making four tackles, one for loss, and should step in moving forward.
