Alshon Jeffery: Officially released
The Eagles released Alshon Jeffery on Wednesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.Jeffery's release had been set in stone for quite some time, given that he carried a $14 million salary cap hit for 2021. The 31-year-old is coming off the worst season of his career, having logged just six catches for 115 yards and a touchdown across seven games, all while battling injuries and suboptimal quarterback play. He'll now have to contend with a strong receiver class in free agency, perhaps foreshadowing a situation wherein Jeffery is forced to settle for a prove-it deal at his next landing spot.

Eagles' Alshon Jeffery: Will be released
The Philadelphia Eagles plan to release Alshon Jeffery when the new league year begins March 17, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.Jeffery's imminent release doesn't come as any sort of surprise, given that the soon-to-be 32-year-old carries a $14 million cap hit for 2021. He only suited up for seven games during an injury-riddled 2020 campaign, securing six catches for 115 yards and one touchdown, the lowest totals of his career. Jeffery hasn't put up a 1,000-yard season since 2014, and he's now logged back-to-back years with under 500 receiving yards. With plenty of big-name wideouts scheduled to hit free agency this offseason, Jeffrey seems unlikely to encounter a bidding war for his services.

Eagles' Alshon Jeffery: Sitting out Week 17
Alshon Jeffery (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against Washington.Jeffery's season debut was delayed until Week 10 due to a combination of offseason foot surgery and a calf issue that he sustained while working his way back to full health. Overall, he managed to haul in just six of 13 targets for 115 yards and one touchdown in seven appearances during his age-30 season. Jeffery turns 31 in February, but because he's owed $18.5 million in 2021, it'll be difficult for the Philadelphia Eagles to move on.

Eagles' Alshon Jeffery: Scores first TD of 2020
Alshon Jeffery caught his only target for a 15-yard touchdown in Sunday's 24-21 win over the Saints. With Carson Wentz replaced by rookie Jalen Hurts under center, Jeffery looked like he might be headed for a big game when he produced the game's first points with his first TD of the season early in the second quarter. Unfortunately for the veteran wideout, Hurts didn't look his way again and wound up completing only 17 passes in total on the afternoon. Jeffery has only three catches for 30 yards on nine targets in five games since rejoining the lineup, and it doesn't appear as though the switch at QB will improve his outlook heading into Week 15's road clash with the Cardinals.

Eagles' Alshon Jeffery: Practicing in full
Alshon Jeffery (calf) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.Jeffrey was limited in practice Wednesday, when coach Doug Pederson declined to commit to his availability for Week 14, but barring any setbacks it looks like the veteran wideout is on track to play. His involvement in Philadelphia's offense has been trending upward, but with only two catches over the last four weeks, it'll be difficult to trust Jeffery for fantasy purposes during Sunday's home matchup against the Saints.

Eagles' Alshon Jeffery: Back on injury report
Alshon Jeffery was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a calf injury.Jeffery handled a season-high 56 percent offensive snap share during last weekend's loss to the Packers, but he failed to secure his lone target. According to Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal, coach Doug Pederson said Jeffery is "sore" coming out of the Week 13 contest, and the veteran wideout's status for Sunday's game versus the Saints has yet to be determined. If Jeffery does suit up, he'll face the challenge of trying to establishing chemistry on the fly with rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts, who will be making his first career start.

Eagles' Alshon Jeffery: Collects first receptions of 2020
Alshon Jeffery caught two of four targets for 15 yards during Monday's 23-17 loss to the Seahawks.Though still a modest output from the one-time Pro Bowl wideout, it is encouraging at least that he logged a season-high 35 offensive snaps while finally breaking into the reception column with his Monday night effort. Jeffery attracted just three targets over 23 offensive snaps in Weeks 10 and 11, his first two games back from foot and calf injuries that held him out for the first half of the season. His involvement is seemingly on the upswing as the struggling Philadelphia Eagles passing offense readies for a road trip to Green Bay on Sunday afternoon.
