Trent Richardson: Available to sign NFL contract
The AAF announced Thursday that all players, including Trent Richardson, are immediately authorized to sign with NFL teams.Richardson led the league with 11 rushing touchdowns over eight games and didn't go a single week without reaching the painted area. While his struggles with efficiency continued -- Richardson ultimately averaged just 2.9 yards on his 125 carries -- the 2012 NFL first-rounder finished the season on a high note with an 18-carry, 83-yard performance (4.8 YPC) on March 25 against the Atlanta Legends. It's hard to gauge how much interest he may draw from NFL teams now that the AAF has disbanded, but it at least seems possible Richardson could be invited to attend training camp somewhere.

Trent Richardson: Still scoring TDs in AAF
Trent Richardson has 91 carries for 227 yards (2.5 average) and nine touchdowns in six games for the Birmingham Iron of the AAF, adding 26 receptions for 186 yards (7.2 average) and another score.Richardson leads the upstart league in both carries and touchdowns and also ranks fourth in catches, yet he's producing just 68.8 scrimmage yards per game. His strong work at the goal line might attract some interest from NFL teams, but the ugly mark of 2.5 YPC doesn't exactly beg for the 2012 first-round pick to be viewed as anything more than a camp body this summer.

Trent Richardson: Finding end zone in AAF
Trent Richardson has taken 42 carries for 99 yards and three touchdowns in two games with the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football.Richardson leads the league in carries and rushing TDs, but his mark of 2.4 YPC is the worst among all players with double-digit opportunities. It's only fair to note that the goal-line chances weigh down his average, and he does have seven receptions for 64 yards. The 2012 first-round pick still has more work to do before NFL teams can view him as a serious option to compete for a 2019 roster spot.

Trent Richardson: Playing in AAF
Trent Richardson will play for the Birmingham Iron in the Alliance of American Football, Frank Schwab of Yahoo Sports reports.Richardson may be the biggest name in the new league, but he hasn't played football since 2017 (in the CFL) and hasn't appeared in an NFL regular-season game since Dec. 2014. The third overall pick from the 2012 NFL Draft did have a couple nice performances during the 2017 CFL campaign, and he's still only 28 years old. A strong showing in the AAF likely would land Richardson an NFL tryout this spring/summer. Other prominent names in the upstart league include QB Christian Hackenberg, RB Denard Robinson, RB Zac Stacy and DB Rahim Moore.

Bills' Marcell Dareus: Still sidelined
Dareus missed both of this weekend's training camp practices after suffering a hamstring injury Friday, John Murphy of BuffaloBuffalo Bills.com reports. There isn't any indication that the injury is anything more than day-to-day at the moment. New head coach Sean McDermott will heavily rely on Dareus, the team's best interior lineman, in the first-year coach's quest to better what was a disappointing defense under Rex Ryan last season.

Bills' Marcell Dareus: Hamstring tweak
Dareus suffered a hamstring injury late in Friday's training camp practice, Chris Brown of BuffaloBuffalo Bills.com reports. "Anytime players miss time you get concerned," said coach Sean McDermott. "But I'm going to stay positive and he's done a great job of being in shape at this point in camp and has really handled things well. We'll see how this unfolds."Dareus will sit out Saturday's practice, though he's doing work off to the side. The DT may be the most important player in McDermott's new defense, given his skill set and ability to make a mess of the offense's interior, though injuries and and off-field distractions have stolen some of his value in the past.

Trent Richardson: Arrested Thursday
Trent Richardson (knee) was arrested last Thursday on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in the third degree, WRBC.com reports.Handed plenty of opportunity to stick in the NFL, Richardson hasn't taken the field in season since 2014 and during preseason play since August of 2015. His woes have now extended off the field due to an alleged incident with a female in Hoover, Ala. While the legal system works itself out, there's no indication that the NFL will come calling in the short or long term.

Trent Richardson: Could conceivably re-join Ravens in future
Head coach John Harbaugh defended waived RB Trent Richardson (knee) from harsh criticism, noted his release from the team was strictly health-related, and added that there is "still an opportunity [for Richardson] to come back in the future," per ESPN.com.The former No. 3 overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, Richardson has dealt with knee woes all offseason. Harbaugh acknowledged the team was aware of Richardson's health concerns when they signed him in April, but they needed to pull the plug on the running back in order to make room for a healthy body at the position. "We just couldn't wait any longer," Harbaugh said, per the Ravens' official site. Subsequently, the team signed Stephen Houston, an undrafted rookie out of Indiana.

Ravens' Trent Richardson: Released by Ravens
Trent Richardson (knee) was released by the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday.Richardson reportedly showed up for Baltimore's offseason program in the best shape of his career, but suffered hamstring and knee injuries that have prevented him from taking part in training camp. Meanwhile, Terrance West has made a strong impression through the first few days of camp, perhaps positioning himself to join Justin Forsett, Javorius Allen and Kenneth Dixon on the final roster. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Richardson may find it difficult to land an audition before the season begins. Though only 26, it's quite possible he's already played his last down in the NFL after failing to catch on with a team last season.

Ravens' Trent Richardson: Begins training camp on PUP list
Trent Richardson (knee) will begin training camp on the PUP list, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports. This is an unsurprising move as the 25-year-old Richardson underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in late June, and was expected to miss several weeks as a result. The third pick in the 2012 draft is hoping to find new life in Baltimore this season, but will need to get back on the field to earn his way into the mix.
