Denard Robinson: Drawing interest from Dallas
The Cowboys brought Denard Robinson in for a workout on Thursday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.Robinson, formerly of the Jaguars, has also drawn interest from the Bears this offseason and even attended their veteran minicamp in May. While he obviously left Chicago without a contract, Robinson is still a serviceable backup who could provide depth to the Cowboys' shallow backfield, which could come in handy if the league office decides to suspend Ezekiel Elliott for the beginning of the season in the aftermath of the NFL's year-long investigation into the runner's legal situation.

Denard Robinson: Trying out for Bears
Denard Robinson will be one of the veterans trying out at the Bears' rookie camp, Rich Campbell of The Chicago Tribune reports.Robinson spent last season, the final year of his rookie contract, serving as Jacksonville's No. 3 running back, totaling only 41 carries for 144 yards (3.5 per carry) in 13 games. He doesn't seem to have drawn much interest in free agency, and his participation in the upcoming rookie camp suggests he'll need to fight to stay in the league for another season. The former college quarterback hasn't done much since 2014, when he started nine games and took 135 carries for 582 yards (4.3 YPC) and four touchdowns. He's missed exactly three games in each of the last three seasons.

Jaguars' Denard Robinson: Appears in 13 games in 2016
Denard Robinson appeared in 13 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016, rushing 41 times for 144 yards for an average of 3.5 yards per carry.Robinson was relegated to mostly spot duty in 2016, as the Jaguars relied heavily on the combination of Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon, neither of whom proved to be overly productive in their own right. With Yeldon and Ivory banged up throughout the year, Robinson had a few opportunities to see an increased workload, most notably against the Bills (Nov. 27) and Broncos (Dec. 4), when he carried 13 and 17 times, respectively. He failed to rush for more than nine yards on a single carry in either contest, however, a hallmark of a Jaguars rushing attack that was among the most pitiful in the NFL on a week-to-week basis. Since entering the league as a converted quarterback in 2013, Robinson has held a steady role as a backup running back for the Jaguars, but with his contract set to expire this offseason, his future with the team is very much clouded. Considering both Yeldon and Ivory should be back in 2017, Robinson is perhaps more expendable than at any point in the past.

Jaguars' Denard Robinson: Starting RB candidate in Week 17
Denard Robinson is a candidate to start at running back against the Colts in Week 17 with Chris Ivory (hamstring) declared inactive, ESPN's Mike DiRocco reports. The multi-tool back will therefore look to shake off an ankle injury that cost him time and close out a disappointing 2016 with a chance to flash his wares against a vulnerable Colts defense. After gaining a career-high 582 yards in 2014, Robinson has rushed for a combined 393 over the last two seasons, with just one touchdown over that span. Also available in the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 17 backfield are Corey Grant, Bronson Hill and Joe Banyard.

Jaguars' Denard Robinson: Not on injury report
Denard Robinson (ankle) does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's season finale against the Colts after practicing in a limited fashion this week. With T.J. Yeldon on IR and Chris Ivory (hamstring) listed as questionable this week, the Jacksonville Jaguars may be forced to lean more heavily on the likes of Robinson and Corey Grant on Sunday. Robinson remains a speculative fantasy play this weekend, but his Week 17 fantasy upside would be boosted in the event that Ivory ends up being scratched Sunday.

Jaguars' Denard Robinson: Sits out practice Wednesday

Jaguars' Denard Robinson: Remains sidelined in Week 15
Denard Robinson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.A high-ankle sprain will result in another absence for Robinson, but on the plus side, the Jacksonville Jaguars' ground game should get a boost with fellow RB Chris Ivory heading into the weekend minus an injury designation.
