Jay Prosch was released by the Texans on Friday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.The Texans handed Prosch a three-year contract at the beginning of 2017, but they decided to save the $1 million guaranteed base salary for this coming season. He was used sparingly on offense, mostly as a blocking back, and was primarily a special teams contributor.

Most of the other players are their extensive injury report are probable, though featured back Arian Foster (hamstring), offensive lineman Ben Jones (ankle/knee) and safety D.J. Swearinger (elbow) are questionable. The probables are linebacker Akeem Dent (hamstring), tight ends Garrett Graham (ankle) and C.J.
