Broncos' Cyrus Kouandjio: Signs with Denver

Cyrus Kouandjio signed a deal with the Denver Broncos' 53-man roster Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. The 2014 second-round pick by Buffalo failed to meet expectations and has started just seven of 27 career games. Kouandjio already started a game for Denver last season, so the familiarity with the team could be a reason he was brought back. It's unclear what sort of role the Alabama product will have with the team.

Broncos' Cyrus Kouandjio: Signs on with Denver

The Denver Broncos signed Cyrus Kouandjio to a contract Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9 News Denver reports.A second-round pick of the Bills in 2014, Kouandjio failed to meet expectations during his first three seasons in the league, starting just seven of 27 career games before Buffalo cut him in May. The Alabama product was unable to parlay a training-camp stint with the Lions into a roster spot, but he'll get a look from a Broncos squad starved for depth at right tackle with Menelik Watson (foot) moving to season-ending injured reserve and Donald Stephenson (calf) uncertain to play Sunday against the Patriots.

    Cyrus Kouandjio: Dropped by Detroit

Cyrus Kouandjio was waived by the Lions on Monday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.Kouandjio joined the Lions in the offseason after spending three seasons with the Bills. Lions' Cyrus Kouandjio: Taken off NFI

Cyrus Kouandjio (hip) was removed from the non-football injury list Saturday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports. This is a significant development considering that Taylor Decker is already set to miss the start of the season and Greg Robinson is on the NFI. Kouandjio is a hulking tackle at 6-7, 322 and his starting experience should help him make inroads at earning the starting left tackle spot in Decker's absence.

Lions' Cyrus Kouandjio: Receives Non-Football Injury designation

Cyrus Kouandjio (hip) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list Tuesday.Having just signed with Detroit in June, he was already fighting an uphill battle with the likes of Corey Robinson (foot) and Taylor Decker (shoulder) in front of him on the depth chart. Being healthy during camp would be a big opportunity for Kouandjio to prove his worth and maybe even steal some time in the regular season. His timeline for return is cloudy at this time.

Lions' Cyrus Kouandjio: Inks contract with Lions

Cyrus Kouandjio signed a contract with the Detroit Lions on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN.com reports.Kouandjio, a former second-round pick of the Bills, largely struggled during his first three seasons and was eventually let go by the Bills at the end of May. The Lions, however, just lost fellow tackle Taylor Decker for at least the next four months because of a shoulder injury, so Kouandjio will be brought in for additional help on the line in Detroit. The Lions also recently traded for tackle Greg Robinson, so Kouandjio isn't guaranteed significant snaps or even a spot on the final roster.

    Cyrus Kouandjio: Released by Buffalo

The Bills released Cyrus Kouandjio (hip) on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After underwhelming in his first three seasons, Kouandjio underwent hip surgery in the offseason and wasn't expected to be back to full strength until training camp, so the Bills deemed him expendable. The former second-round pick may need to receive a clean bill of health until another team signs him.

Hard work puts Bills OT Curys Kouandjio in line to start in 2015

Buffalo Bills tackle Cyrus Kouandjio was beaten out for a starting spot last season by Seantrel Henderson. He is poised to turn the tables this year, per the team website. Kouandijo is currently ahead of his fellow 2014 draftee. He has improved markedly since the end of his rookie campaign, according to Rex Ryan. "I think the work that Cyrus has done overall in the offseason probably puts him ahead right now," Ryan said. "But again, the race isn't over by a long shot, so we'll see." Offensive line coach Aaron Kromer concurs, but he also cautions that it's early in the process. "He's been working really hard at learning the techniques and learning the plays," he said. "When we got pads on that's when things are really going to show up for the line." That Henderson beat out Kouandjio last season was a surprise. The former was taken in the seventh round while the latter was selected five rounds earlier.
