Brandon Bostick: Doesn't receive RFA tender

The Jets chose not to tender Brandon Bostick, making him an unrestricted free agent, the New York Post reports. The lowest restricted free-agent tender still costs $1.8 million, which is significantly more than the type of near minimum contract Bostick will likely receive. He caught only eight passes in 16 games last season, serving mostly as the No. 2 or 3 tight end. Regardless of where he lands, the 27-year-old likely will have to fight for a roster spot in training camp.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Will play Saturday

Brandon Bostick (ankle) will suit up for Saturday's matchup with the Dolphins.Bostick was held out of Wednesday's practice due to his injury, but he was able to get in limited sessions both of the last two days, and will be able to take the field Saturday. Bostick is listed as the starting tight end on the New York Jets' depth chart, but he was a distant third in snaps played last week behind Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Eric Tomlinson.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Brandon Bostick (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday.Bostick was unable to return to Sunday's win over the 49ers after suffering an ankle injury, and his status for Saturday's tilt against the Dolphins is up in the air at this point. If he's ultimately ruled out, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Eric Tomlinson would be the New York Jets' only healthy options at tight end in Week 15.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Injures ankle Sunday

Brandon Bostick suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's win at San Francisco and didn't return.Prior to his departure early in the third quarter, Bostick hauled in both of his targets for 17 yards, bringing his totals on the season to seven receptions (on nine targets) for 56 yards. If he requires some time off, Austin Seferian-Jenkins will assume the top perch among New York Jets tight ends.

Jets' Brandon Bostick: Catches first pass of the season

Brandon Bostick caught his lone target for a nine-yard gain Sunday against the Steelers. No New York Jets tight end caught a pass in the first four games of the season, and while Bostick was finally able to get his first reception, newly signed Austin Seferian-Jenkins caught both of his targets for 17 yards Sunday. While the progress is good, there's little reason to think either player will be a viable fantasy option in most formats.

The Minnesota Vikings have claimed former Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick, the team announced on Wednesday. The 6-foor-3, 250-pound tight end was waived by Green Bay on Monday, about a month after his mistake on an onside kick allowed the Seahawks to come back and win the NFC Championship Game. Bostick spent two seasons with the Packers and registered nine catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. With the addition of Bostick, the Vikings now have five tight ends on the active roster (Kyle Rudolph, Rhett Ellison, Chase Ford, Ryan Otten).

Packers release NFC title game goat Brandon Bostick

The Green Bay Packers released tight end and special teams player Brandon Bostick on Monday, about a month after his mistake on an onside kick allowed the Seahawks to come back and win the NFC Championship Game. With the Packers leading 19-14 just before the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks lined up for an onside kick. Bostick left his blocking assignment and attempted to recover the ball. The ball bounced off his hands, and the Seahawks recovered. The recovery led to a go-ahead score, and Seattle would eventually punch a ticket to the Super Bowl in overtime.

Packers tight end Brandon Bostick: 'I let my team down'

Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick didn't catch a pass during Sunday's NFC Championship Game. He wasn't supposed to catch the onside kick at the end of the game either. Bostick told reporters after the game he was supposed to block for his teammates with 2:09 left in the game. "I let my team down, I feel like," Bostick said. "There was a lot on this game. I just feel like if I was able to do my job - my assignment was to block - Jordy would've caught the ball and the game would've been over." When the ball was kicked, Bostick popped up and tried to make a play on the ball, only to have it bounce off of his hands and into a Seahawks' arms. "I felt like I had my hands on the ball," Bostick said. "It just slipped away, I guess. I just got hit and didn't have the ball."
