Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Three TDs in win
Cooper Rush completed 18 of 29 passes for 214 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Panthers. He added four rushes for five yards.Rush took some time to get the Dallas Cowboys' offense moving, but that changed on a drive early in the second quarter during which he went 5-for-5 with 70 yards and a 14-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb. He went on to tally two additional passing scores to Jalen Tolbert and Jalen Brooks to record the first three-touchdown game of his career and complete the blowout victory over Carolina. While it was a favorable matchup, Rush also averaged 7.4 yards per attempt -- his second-highest mark of the season -- to give him some momentum heading into another exploitable matchup in Week 16 against Tampa Bay.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Tosses two TDs in loss
Cooper Rush completed 16 of 31 passes for 183 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and rushed twice for five yards in the Dallas Cowboys' 27-20 loss to the Bengals on Monday night.Rush had a harder time than might have been envisioned against a Bengals defense that did a solid job in coverage for the most part and also compiled three sacks in addition to a second-quarter interception at Cincinnati's four-yard line. The veteran backup did start off his night in a positive fashion with an 11-yard touchdown toss to CeeDee Lamb on fourth down in the first quarter, and he added a three-yard scoring pass to Brandin Cooks early in the third quarter. Rush also took a sack and threw high to Jake Ferguson on the Cowboys' final drive in the fourth quarter, turning the ball over on downs as a result of the latter play. Rush will aim to get back on track in a favorable Week 15 road matchup against the Panthers.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Limits mistakes on Thanksgiving
Cooper Rush completed 21 of 36 passes for 195 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in Thursday's 27-20 win over the Giants. He added five rushes for zero yards.Rush wasn't asked to do much, as the Dallas Cowboys cashed in a pick-six and also scored on a short field to begin the third quarter. As a result, Rush didn't have to be aggressive in pushing the ball down the field, but he didn't turn the ball over and didn't take a sack to keep the Cowboys' offense on schedule. His 5.4 yards per attempt weren't inspiring, but he did throw for at least one touchdown for the third time in his four starts this season. Rush will likely have to be more aggressive in a Week 14 matchup against Cincinnati, which could lead to a better stat line.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Set to play Thursday
Cooper Rush (knee) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game versus the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.Rush was estimated as a limited participant on practice reports issued Monday and Tuesday, but his ability to handle a full session Wednesday has paved the way for him to continue to lead the Dallas Cowboys offense Week 13. While he won't have tight end Jake Ferguson (concussion) for a second consecutive contest Thursday, Rush will have top wideouts CeeDee Lamb (back/foot) and Brandin Cooks (knee) -- the latter of whom was activated from injured reserve Wednesday -- available to him.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Remains limited Tuesday
Cooper Rush (knee) was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.Rush is dealing with some knee soreness, but the expectation is that he'll be able to play Thursday against the Giants. He's coming off a solid Week 12 performance against the Commanders, when he completed 24 of 32 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns in Dallas' 34-26 win. He gets another softer matchup against a Giants defense that has recorded just one interception all season.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Estimated as limited Monday
Cooper Rush (knee) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.Monday's session was merely a walkthrough, per Archer, but Rush's listed limitations make his status worth tracking ahead of Thursday's 4:30 p.m. ET game against the Giants. For his part, head coach Mike McCarthy downplayed the QB's knee issue following Week 12 action. "He's got some work to do, but I think we're gonna be fine," McCarthy noted of Rush on Monday. However, in the event that Rush encounters any setbacks, Trey Lance would be next in line to log the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day start.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Remains starter
Head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that Cooper Rush will remain the Dallas Cowboys' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.Rush will make his third consecutive start in Week 12, even though the Cowboys have been outscored 68-16 in losses to the Eagles and Texans over the past two games. With Dallas trailing by at least two scores for much of Monday's game against Houston, Rush dropped back 60 times on the night, taking five sacks while completing 32 of 55 pass attempts for a touchdown and a career-high 354 yards. Though Rush's 6.4 yards per attempt were a stark improvement from his 2.0 average against the Eagles, he still threw a costly first-quarter interception in Houston territory and also fumbled twice, one of which was returned for a Texans TD. Rush may be on a shorter leash in Week 12, with McCarthy acknowledging that he'll also have a package of plays available for backup quarterback Trey Lance, who offers more of a threat as a runner.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Throws for 354 yards in loss
Cooper Rush completed 32 of 55 pass attempts for 354 yards, one touchdown and one interception while taking two carries for as many yards in Monday's 34-10 loss to the Texans.Rush wound up piling up enough numbers to serve as a formidable bye week replacement off waivers, despite the one-sided nature of Monday's primetime matchup. The veteran backup did throw an interception while seeing multiple balls bounce off of Houston defenders' hands, which could have derailed his night from a fantasy standpoint. Rush's two fumbles were secured by either himself or a teammate, resulting in a shaky but passable showing. Assuming Dallas keeps Rush under center for Sunday's tilt against Washington, he should check in at the bottom-third of fantasy QB rankings for Week 12.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Will start versus Houston
Head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Monday that Cooper Rush will start next Monday's game against the Texans, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. In his first start of the 2024 season in this past Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Eagles, Rush subbing in for the injured Dak Prescott (hamstring) and completed 13 of his 23 passing attempts for 45 yards, while rushing twice for two yards with two lost fumbles. Despite the rough outing which saw fellow quarterback Trey Lance replace him late in the blowout loss, the Dallas Cowboys will give Rush at least another start, though it's worth noting that the team is expected to add another signal-caller in the coming days. In any case, Rush doesn't represent a reliable fantasy play in Week 11, he could serve as a plug-in option for managers dealing with bye week issues or injuries at the quarterback.
