Jacob Schum signed his exclusive rights free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.In his second full year in the NFL, and first with the Packers, Schum averaged 43.2 yards per punt, with a long of 65 yards, and had 19 punts downed inside the 20-yard line, all of which were career highs. It's unclear if the Packers will bring in any competition for Schum in the offseason or training camp, or if he'll simply be given the job in 2017.

Buccaneers cut five to get down to 75 players
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cut five players Tuesday to get down to the NFL-mandated 75-man limit, with the biggest name being punter Michael Koenen. Tampa Bay decided to go with first-year punter Jacob Schum over the veteran Koenen. The rest of the Bucs' cuts include guard Josh Allen, WR Robert Herron and corner Leonard Johnson. Defensive tackle Akeem Spence was placed on the PUP list.
