Joplo Bartu (hamstring) was released with an injury settlement Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.The Cardinals brought in veteran Sio Moore to replace Bartu. The linebacker failed to record a statistic in seven games with the Cardinals this season, playing exclusively on special teams.

Falcons' Joplo Bartu's suspension rescinded, fined $50,000
Atlanta Falcons linebacker Joplo Bartu had a two-game suspension for an alcohol related offense rescinded but was fined $50,000, per NFL.com. Bartu pleaded no contest to driving under the influence last season and received a two-day suspended sentence and 12 months of probation. According to an NFL and NFLPA agreement, players had until Nov. 1, 2014 to resolve DUIs for them to be accepted under the previous policy and for a suspension not to be issued. Bartu needed to submit his plea agreement before November but he did not go in front of judge before the deadline and was suspended in March. Bartu provided the league with additional information, showing that his plea agreement was actually reached on Oct. 30, resulting in the $50,000 fine and his suspension as rescinded. Bartu was third on the Falcons last season with 83 tackles.

Joplo Bartu gets a bunch more tackles
Atlanta Falcons linebacker Joplo Bartu, who had 10 tackles in the season opener last week, recorded another nine, including eight solo, Week 2 at Cincinnati. Bartu now has more tackles through two games than he had during any two-game stretch as a rookie last season.

Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Joplo Bartu delivered another sack, giving him 3 1/2 this season, Week 10 against the Seahawks. He also had six tackles, including one solo. Joplu has started eight of the Falcons' nine games this season. He's averaging 5.3 tackles per game.

Joplo Bartu makes his presence known
Atlanta Falcons linebacker Joplo Bartu, an undrafted rookie forced into a starting role because of injuries, had the best performance of his young career Week 7 against the Buccaneers. Not only did he lead the Falcons with 10 tackles, including six solo, but he also recorded a half sack. He also had a half sack back in Week 3. Bartu is averaging 4.8 tackles in six games this season.

Falcons get defensive contributions
Atlanta Falcons defensive back Desmond Trufant and linebacker Joplo Bartu each made six tackles in the loss to the Patriots. Trufant had a pass defended, Bartu a tackle for loss. They tied for second on the team behind linebacker Akeem Dent, who made eight tackles before leaving with an ankle injury. Safety Thomas DeCoud and defensive tackle Corey Peters added five tackles apiece.
