Panthers' Tobais Palmer: Taken off PUP list
Tobais Palmer (Achilles) returned to practice on Wednesday and was removed from the PUP list.Palmer missed the first few days of training camp due to an Achilles injury. Now back on the field, the undrafted free agent from 2013 will focus on claiming a spot on the 53-man roster.

Panthers' Tobais Palmer: Placed on PUP
Tobais Palmer has been placed on the Carolina Panthers' physically unable to perform list for undisclosed reasons, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.Palmer hasn't managed to catch on anywhere since entering the NFL in 2013, playing in just one game in his career. He's hoping to catch on with Carolina this season, but he'll need to fight for every rep he can to do so. It's not clear why he's on the PUP list but he should be considered day-to-day until more information is available.

Jaguars make a slew of roster moves
The Jacksonville Jaguars made a slew of roster moves Tuesday. They placed three players on injured reserve -- safety Dwight Lowery (concussion), offensive tackle Luke Joeckel (ankle) and tight end Allen Reisner (knee). Reisner has been designated to return, while Lowery and Joeckel are out for the season. The Jaguars also claimed Sam Young off waivers, promoted offensive tackle DeMarcus Love from the practice squad and signed guard Jacques McClendon. Lastly, the Jaguars signed Jeremy Ebert to the practice squad and waived receiver Tobais Palmer from the practice squad.

The Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed receivers Jeremy Ebert and Tobais Palmer to their practice squad and waived cornerback Marcus Burley and defensive end Chris McCoy from the squad. Jacksonville also signed receiver Lamaar Thomas and defensive tackle Jordan Miller to the squad.

Jaguars trim down roster
The Jacksonville Jaguars have trimmed its roster down to 54 players after parting ways with backup quarterbacks Mike Kafka and Matt Scott on Friday, the team announced.Players also released were wide receiver Jeremy Ebert, defensive end Pannel Egboh, running back Jonathan Grimes, linebacker Brandon Marshall, wide receiver Charly Martin, offensive tackle Pat McQuistan, guard Drew Nowak, cornerback Kevin Rutland, defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith, linebacker Julian Stanford and cornerback Marcus Trufant.Wide receiver Toney Clemons and defensive end Ryan Davis were among the first-year players released. Defensive tackle T.J. Barnes, offensive tackle R.J. Dill, tight end Ryan Otten, wide receiver Tobais Palmer, safety Steven Terrell and linebacker Mike Zimmer were among the rookies released.
