Jets' Zach Sudfeld: Finds end zone in win over Redskins

Sudfield caught all three of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Friday's win over the Redskins.Sudfield wasn't targeted often Friday, but he made the most of his opportunities and hauled in every pass that was thrown his way, making an end zone nuisance of himself in the process. Sudfield should have every opportunity to battle for a starting spot in an offense that is in need of playmakers, and he will likely see an expanded amount of reps next week versus the Giants.

Zach Sudfeld gets some snaps with starters

New York Jets tight end Zach Sudfeld, a 6-7, 260-pounder, is getting some snaps with the starters as rookie Jaco Amaro struggles, reports The Star-Ledger. Sudfeld mostly runs with the second team and on special teams units. Signed midseason last year, Sudfeld said "it's interesting how much difference it makes knowing the playbook a little bit. Last year, coming out here a little bit, it was kind of learning on the fly. I just try to take advantage of the reps I get. "I do think that I have some ability to maybe stretch the field a little bit and kind of get out and run," he added. "I love playing in the West Coast [scheme]. It's a great offense for a tight end."
