Kevin King was elevated to the Atlanta Falcons' active roster from their practice squad Monday, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.King was elevated from the practice squad for a Week 1 loss to the Steelers but reverted after that game. This move will make him a permanent part of the Falcons' active roster, barring him getting released. He'll likely be tasked with bolstering the Falcons' depth in the secondary, as well as chipping in on special teams.

Falcons assistant defensive coach Jerry Gray was the secondary coach in Green Bay when King was at his peak, so despite getting cut, it's possible King's familiarity with the coaching staff helps him secure a practice squad deal if he doesn't get a contract elsewhere.
