The Detroit Lions signed Maurice Alexander on Wednesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.Alexander hasn't played a down in the NFL since 2019, when he filled in at linebacker in Buffalo despite having played most of his career snaps before that as a safety. The Lions don't necessarily have a wealth of depth at linebacker behind Alex Anzalone and Julian Okwara, but even still, Alexander isn't likely to see many snaps this season even if he can crack Detroit's 53-man roster.
