Randell Johnson was waived by the Jets on Friday, Brian Costello of The New York Post reports.Signed off the Rams' practice squad last December, Johnson was likely made expendable after the Jets' trade for Demario Davis last week. His departure likely opens the door for Julian Stanford and Spencer Paysinger to see additional reps for the remainder of the offseason and potentially into training camp as well.

The following players have been deemed inactive for the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 against the Patriots: Stephon Gilmore, Bryce Brown, Randell Johnson, Cyrus Kouandjio, Marquise Goodwin, Chris Gragg and Marcell Dareus. Dareus was listed as out after Friday's practice. He finishes his season with 48 total tackles and 10 sacks for the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 16 game against the Raiders: running back Bryce Brown, cornerback Ross Cockrell, linebackers Larry Dean and Randell Johnson, tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, wide receiver Deonte Thompson and tight end Chris Gragg (knee). The only player on the inactive list dealing with an injury is reserve tight end Gragg, who was listed as probable, leaving the Bills as one of the healthier teams in the league heading into Week 16.
