Seahawks' Mohammed Seisay: Spends 2016 on IR due to Achilles injury
Mohammed Seisay (Achilles) resided on injured reserve for the entire 2016 season, The Seattle Times reports.After landing in Seattle during the summer of 2015 via a trade with the Lions, Seisay missed each of the past two seasons due to injury. Both lost seasons were due to separate and unrelated injuries, however, as he missed the 2015 campaign due to a torn labrum but this past year due to a concern with his Achilles tendon. He's now set to enter the offseason as an exclusive rights free agent.

Seahawks place Mohammed Seisay, Robert Turbin on IR
The Seattle Seahawks placed safety Mohammed Seisay and running back Robert Turbin on injured reserve, reports ESPN. Turbin was dealing with an ankle injury while Seisay's injury is not known at this time.

Lions trade cornerback Mohammed Seisay to Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks acquired cornerback Mohammed Seisay from the Detroit Lions on Sunday, reports 710 ESPN Seattle. The Lions will receive an undisclosed draft pick in the 2016 draft by trading Seisay. Seisay played in 13 games for the Lions last season and produced five tackles.

Lions head into Week 17 mostly healthy against the Packers
The Detroit Lions will be without defensive tackle Nick Fairley for Sunday's game against the Packers with a knee injury. It will be Fairley's eighth straight week out of game action. Running back Joique Bell (Achilles), wide receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) and cornerback Mohammed Seisay (hamstring) are all listed as probable. The Lions are currently 7 1/2-point underdogs against the Packers for Week 17.

The Detroit Lions have announced all their cuts in getting their roster down to 53. The offensive players released are fullback David Akers, quarterback James Franklin, linemen Michael Williams, Garrett Reynolds and Darren Keyton, wide receiver Kris Durham, running backs George Winn and Michael Egnew. The defenders gone are cornerbacks Chris Greenwood, Mohammed Seisay, Nate Ness, Aaron Hester and Jonte Green, end Darryl Tapp and linebacker Shamari Benton. Placekicker Giorgio Tavecchio and punter Drew Butler have also been cut.
