Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Held catchless on SNF
Mike Gesicki failed to bring in either of his targets in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Chargers.Gesicki had a rough go of things in a smaller role following star wideout Tee Higgins' (quadriceps) return Sunday. The veteran tight end has truly been a boom-or-bust option in fantasy this season, producing four games with less than one standard fantasy point while posting big numbers in others. Gesicki enters a bye week with a line of 34-383-2 in 12 starts with Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Bengals resume play against the Steelers on Dec. 1.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Modest output in loss
Mike Gesicki brought in four of nine targets for 30 yards in the Cincinnati Bengals' 35-34 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.Gesicki was third on the team in targets with a figure that also tied his season high, but unlike other games when Tee Higgins (quadricep) has been sidelined, Gesicki couldn't do much with the opportunity. The veteran tight end's yardage total was his fifth of 30 yards or less this season, and assuming Higgins is back to full health for a Week 11 road matchup against the Chargers on Sunday night, Nov. 17, Gesicki could revert to a much smaller role.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Comes alive with late TDs
Mike Gesicki secured five of six targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the Cincinnati Bengals' 41-24 win over the Raiders on Sunday.Gesicki was the surprise leader in receiving yards on the afternoon for the Bengals, but he'd never gotten close had it not been for the 58 yards he gained on his two second-half touchdown grabs, the latter an impressive 47-yard catch and run with 5:37 remaining to put the game definitively out of reach. Gesicki has consistently delivered strong performances whenever Tee Higgins (quadricep) has been sidelined, and he may have another opportunity to take the field without his teammate due to the short turnaround before a Week 10 road matchup against the Ravens on Thursday night.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Breakout effort in loss
Mike Gesicki secured seven of eight targets for 73 yards in the Cincinnati Bengals' 37-17 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.Gesicki was the surprise leader for the Bengals in receiving yards while checking in second to Ja'Marr Chase in both receptions and targets as well. The veteran tight end had logged under 20 snaps in each of his previous two games while logging just one reception for minus-2 yards in that span, but Tee Higgins' (quadriceps) absence likely played a part in the unexpected surge. Gesicki could remain similarly involved in a Week 9 home matchup against the Raiders if his teammate logs a second straight absence.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Plays just 16 snaps
Mike Gesicki played only 16 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Browns, catching one pass for two yards. He also recovered a late onside kick attempt by the Browns. This was the fewest number of snaps for Gesicki, and his smallest snap share (16 percent) of the year. This was in part due to the Cincinnati Bengals' run-heavy game script, as they barely attempted to throw the ball after they got off to a 21-6 lead, but also due to the ascension of rookie Erick All up the depth chart. Presumably both tight ends will see a more favorable game script in Week 8 against the Eagles.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Not targeted against Giants
Mike Gesicki failed to record a single target in Sunday's 17-7 win over the GiantsGesicki played just 19 of the Cincinnati Bengals' 53 offensive snaps against the Giants, his second-lowest snap total of the season. Meanwhile, Drew Sample (26) and Erick All (23) were on the field more than the 29-year-old Gesicki. Sunday marked the first contest in which Gesicki was held without a catch, coinciding with All's ascension to the top spot on the depth chart as Cincinnati's preferred pass-catching option. Gesicki should be left off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Browns.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Clear for Week 6
Mike Gesicki (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest at the Giants.Gesicki was held out of Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring issue before returning as a limited participant one day later. With his status cleared up for Week 6 action, he'll continue to serve as one of the tight ends available to QB Joe Burrow, which so far has amounted to a 17-178-0 line on 21 targets through five games.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Back at practice
Mike Gesicki (hamstring) returned to a limited practice Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.Gesicki didn't practice Wednesday, so the tight end's activity a day later -- albeit in a capped fashion -- has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. However, he'll presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Dealing with hamstring issue
Mike Gesicki didn't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.Gesicki was on the field for 29 of the Cincinnati Bengals' 67 snaps on offense in this past Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens, finishing with two catches for 31 yards on two targets. After logging 18 targets in his first three games this season, the veteran has seen just three over his last two outings, with the emergence of rookie Erick All (14-92-0 receiving line on 14 targets over the last four games) having begun to hamper Gesicki's fantasy upside.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Targeted twice against Ravens
Mike Gesicki secured both of his targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens.Gesicki played 29 of the Cincinnati Bengals' 67 offensive snaps Sunday while rookie tight end Erick All was on the field for 35 snaps. The rookie has now played more snaps that Gesicki in both of the past two weeks. The 29-year-old veteran could continue to see his role diminish with the emergence of All, not to mention the fact that head coach Zac Taylor has also kept a third tight end (Drew Sample) regularly involved on offense.
