Alonzo Harris: Released by Packers
Alonzo Harris was released by the Packers in advance of Thursday's game at Detroit, the team's official site reports.Active in just six games this season, Harris turned four carries in 19 yards and couldn't haul in his sole target. The Packers have opted to promote John Crockett from the practice squad to fill Harris' spot on the 53-man roster. If Harris passes through waivers unclaimed, he could very well complete a perfect swap.

Packers' Alonzo Harris: Held without a touch despite working as backup
Alonzo Harris did not record a touch in Sunday's loss to the Lions.Harris worked as the Green Bay Packers' backup running back Sunday with Eddie Lacy (groin) inactive, but he did not record a carry or a reception in the game and barely saw the field. It remains to be seen if Lacy will be able to return in Week 11, but don't expect Harris to play much of a role either way.

Packers' Alonzo Harris: Receives two carries in Week 8 loss
Alonzo Harris had two carries for two yards in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.Harris suited up Sunday with James Starks slowed by a hip injury, but he was a non-factor in the offense until the game was out of reach. He would be the Green Bay Packers' backup running back if Starks or Lacy were unable to play during a given week, but even then, his workload would still likely be minimal.

Packers RB Alonzo Harris carries two times in Week 3 win
Green Bay Packers running back Alonzo Harris had two carries for 17 yards in Monday's victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.Harris did not suit up for the Packers' first two games, but with Eddie Lacy (ankle) less than 100 percent Monday night, Harris was activated and handled the ball for the first two times as a professional. He is not guaranteed to even be in uniform when Lacy is at full speed, but he did strengthen his hold on his job as the Packers' third running back.
