Chris Harper signed a contract with the New York Jets on Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.Harper was released by the 49ers at the beginning of the month after one season with the team. With how poor the San Francisco 49ers' receivers have been this season, it wouldn't be crazy to think the club gives him a longer look in the final weeks of the season. That being said, we wouldn't recommend him until heavy usage is shown on a consistent basis.
