Mason Pline: Lands on practice squad injured list
Mason Pline (undisclosed) was placed on the 49ers' practice squad reserve/injured list Tuesday.Pline has spent the entire 2024 campaign on the 49ers' practice squad and he'll now be forced to miss the remainder of the regular season with an undisclosed injury. The tight end signed with San Francisco in May as an undrafted free agent after ending his collegiate career with Furman and he'll now have to wait until at least 2025 to make his NFL debut.

Mason Pline signed with the 49ers' practice squad Wednesday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.Pline signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May and will now stick around on the practice squad. He likely only will be elevated to the active roster if either George Kittle, Jake Tonges or Eric Saubert suffers an injury.

Mason Pline: Cut by San Fran
Mason Pline was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday.Pline joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Furman, but he was released along with fellow tight ends Logan Thomas and Eric Saubert as part of the team's final roster cuts Tuesday. With these three gone, Jake Tonges is currently set to serve as the lone backup behind starter George Kittle. Pline will now be subject to waivers, and, if he goes unclaimed, he'll be free to sign elsewhere ahead of the regular season.
