Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Posts 118 scrimmage yards in OT loss
Bijan Robinson rushed 17 times for 86 yards while catching four of seven targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 30-23 overtime loss to the Ravens.Robinson was held without a touchdown after scoring four times over the previous two games, but he managed to top 100 scrimmage yards for the fourth time in five games. The star running back was far more effective than backup Brian Robinson, who also had four touchdowns over the previous two games but turned seven carries and one target into just 16 yards against the Ravens. Bijan has racked up 732 scrimmage yards and five total TDs heading into a Week 6 home game against the Bears. Michael Penix (ribs) was hurt late in Sunday night's loss to Baltimore, so it remains to be seen whether Penix or Tua Tagovailoa will start under center for Atlanta against Chicago.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Another dominant effort Monday
Bijan Robinson rushed 19 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns and brought in one of two targets for two yards in the Atlanta Falcons' 45-24 win over the Saints on Monday night.Fresh off a 194-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Packers that kicked off the Week 3 slate back on Sept. 24, a well-rested Robinson put together a very similar performance, albeit with a slight reduction in workload. Robinson set the tone just three plays into the contest, capping off the opening possession with a 59-yard touchdown run down the left side of the field. He came back just before the opening period ending with a four-yard scoring rush, and he then ceded three other red-zone opportunities in the second half to backfield mate Brian Robinson. Bijan already has 494 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground through his first four contests, and the switch to Michael Penix at quarterback has led to the star running back's top two efforts to date this season. Robinson next takes aim at a tough Ravens defense in a Week 5 home matchup Sunday night.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Dominates throughout blowout win
Bijan Robinson rushed 29 times for 194 yards and two touchdowns and brought in both targets for 19 yards in the Atlanta Falcons' 35-14 win over the Packers on Thursday.Robinson's night on the ground was every bit as dominating as his final line suggests, as the star running back repeatedly ripped off chunk gains against an overwhelmed Packers defense. Robinson got the night off on the right foot by netting 21 yards on the Falcons' first two plays, and he struck for his game-long 55-yard run on Atlanta's third possession to set himself up for a three-yard touchdown rush two plays later. The 2023 first-round pick went on to add a three-yard touchdown run to close out the scoring with just over three and a half minutes remaining, and he came just a yard short of equaling the career-high 195 rushing yards he hung on the Rams in Week 17 of last season. Robinson already has 543 rushing yards and three total touchdowns through three games heading into a Week 4 road matchup against the Saints on Monday, Oct. 5.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Subdued production in ugly loss
Bijan Robinson rushed 16 times for 72 yards and brought in three of four targets for nine yards in the Atlanta Falcons' 34-3 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.Considering the Falcons' air attack posed next to no threat to the Panthers defense while being helmed by Cooper Rush and Jack Strand, Robinson managed to put together a serviceable, albeit scoreless, day. The ultra-talented back didn't have a robust enough opportunity on the ground thanks to a game script that increasingly turned against the run, but Robinson's 4.5 yards per carry was more than respectable considering the circumstances. Either Michael Penix (knee) or Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) appear to have a chance to return for Thursday's Week 3 road matchup against the Packers, a development that would theoretically offer Robinson the opportunity to see some less crowded defensive fronts.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Bright spot in Week 1 loss
Bijan Robinson rushed 21 times for 83 yards and brought in eight of 10 targets for 90 yards and a touchdown in the Atlanta Falcons' 20-13 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, losing neither and recovering one.The Falcons' offense was hamstrung by the fact it was down to its third-string quarterback in Cooper Rush, who was also battling back spasms leading into the game. Robinson still toughed out yards on the ground throughout the afternoon, and he was Rush's safety valve early and often. Robinson comfortably led his squad in all of receptions, receiving yards and targets, and his 23-yard catch-and-run TD grab late in the first quarter served as Atlanta's only touchdown of the afternoon. The fourth-year pro will remain in a workhorse role for as long as he's healthy, and the star running back could see an upgrade at quarterback for a Week 2 divisional home matchup against the Panthers next Sunday if either Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) or Michael Penix (knee) is able to prove healthy enough to garner active status.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Expecting more open running room in 2026
Bijan Robinson said Thursday that he's noticed an emphasis from the Atlanta Falcons' new coaching staff in scheming up ways to create running room and help him reach the second level more quickly, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports. "We have a lot of different variations," Robinson said. "But, for me, it's to create space for yourself. [Offensive coordinator Tommy Rees] does a really good job of being intentional in trying to get us to the second level as fast as possible because when we get to the second level, I feel like that's where we're super dangerous as runners."Robinson led the NFL with 2,298 scrimmage yards in 2025, with the 24-year-old doing much of his damage on outside runs in former offensive coordinator Zac Robinson's wide-zone running scheme. The Falcons won't completely abandon those zone concepts during the upcoming season, but the new coaching staff plans to implement more gap and power-style run plays that it believes will help Robinson to maintain effectiveness while still allowing him to put his explosiveness in the open field on display. Rees and head coach Kevin Stefanski also plan to keep Robinson heavily involved in the screen game, after he led all running backs with 20 receptions on screens last season. While working with a less talented Browns running-back room in 2025, Stefanski and Rees helped Cleveland generate 413 yards on screen plays, second-most in the NFL.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Doesn't play Friday
Bijan Robinson did not play in the Atlanta Falcons' 27-7 preseason loss to the Broncos on Friday.Robinson dressed and warmed up pregame but observed Friday's exhibition contest from the sidelines. He was the only Falcons running back to not suit up, as Brian Robinson played in each of the first two offensive series while Tyler Goodson led all Atlanta RB's with 24 snaps on offense. Per Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site, Robinson is still in ramp-up mode after recently returning to practice, so he could play in Atlanta's next preseason game, which takes place Saturday, Aug. 22, against Indianapolis.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Agrees to three-year extension
Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms Tuesday on a three-year extension worth up to $75 million, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.Robinson's three-year pact includes $51 million guaranteed and makes him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. With a new deal in place, Robinson, who hadn't been participating in training camp practices, is slated to rejoin his teammates on the field. With Robinson's contract situation settled, attention now turns to fellow elite fantasy back Jahmyr Gibbs, who has been a training camp hold-in as he seeks an extension with the Lions.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Not practicing amid contract talks
Bijan Robinson did not participate in Wednesday's training camp practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.Robinson's absence from Atlanta's first training camp session appears to be related to his desire for a long-term deal with the team, rather than any sort of injury. Elsewhere, another superstar 2023 first-round running back in Jahmyr Gibbs is also not practicing for the Lions, seemingly due to a similar want for a multi-year deal. The Atlanta Falcons exercised Robinson's fifth-year option for 2027 earlier this offseason, but there's no question that the star running back -- who totaled a career-best 2,298 yards from scrimmage in 2025 -- is underpaid relative to his true value. It remains to be seen whether Robinson's hold-in will extend beyond the early stages of training camp, but at this stage there have been no developments that should detract from his position as one of the clear top options in the first round of 2026 fantasy drafts.

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: Fifth-year option exercised
The Atlanta Falcons picked up the fifth-year option of Bijan Robinson's rookie contract Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The transaction keeps Robinson under contract through 2027 and provides Atlanta more time to negotiate a potential long-term extension, so it's little surprise to see the team pick up the 2023 first-round pick's fifth-year option. Robinson has compiled back-to-back years with over 1,400 rushing yards, and in 2025 he added a 79-829-4 receiving line (104 targets) while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. The star running back also had seven rushing scores and a career-high 5.1 YPC mark in 2025. Even given the uncertainty surrounding Atlanta's offense -- there's a QB battle between Michael Penix (knee) and Tua Tagovailoa looming this offseason, and the surprise retirement of RT Kaleb McGary (leg) has prompted the team to sign Jawaan Taylor -- Robinson is firmly in the mix for consideration as not only the top RB off the board in 2026 fantasy drafts, but as the No.1 overall selection.
