Heath Miller: Calls it quits
Heath Miller announced Friday his intention to retire from the NFL.A late first-round pick all the way back in 2005, Miller spent the entirety of his 11-year career in gold and black. Over that span, he collected two Pro Bowl nominations, won two Super Bowls, earned a team MVP award in 2012 and was named to the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team in 2007. The 33-year-old tight end remained relatively healthy throughout his career, missing no more than two games in any given campaign. He leaves the team as the franchise's all-time leader among tight ends in receptions (592), receiving yards (6,579), and receiving touchdowns (45). A staple in Pittsburgh and a favorite among the fans, the Steelers will finally need to move on and look elsewhere for production out of the position.
