DeMarcus Ware: Announces retirement
DeMarcus Ware announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday.Ware hangs up his cleats as the league's eighth all-time leader in sacks (138.5). The 34-year-old spent his final three seasons in Denver, where he won last year's Super Bowl, but he'll be most remembered for the wildly successful start to his career in Dallas. The 11th overall pick out of Troy in 2005, Ware registered at least 11 sacks in seven of his nine seasons with the Cowboys, including a whopping 20 in 2008, when he was named NFC Defensive Player of the Year. Overall, Ware was selected to nine Pro Bowls across his 12-year career, which is likely to be capped off by him being inducted into the Hall of Fame before long.
