49ers sign Philip Wheeler
The San Francisco 49ers signed linebacker Philip Wheeler , the team announced on Thursday. Wheeler played the last two years with the Miami Dolphins, after four years with the Colts and one with the Raiders. Miami released him on March 10. Wheeler had 46 tackles last year, his fewest since his rookie year. It was also just the third season he's been held to no sacks.
