Wes Welker: "A small percentage" he plays again

Wes Welker stated there's "a small percentage" he will play again, the Miami Herald reports.Welker has served as a voluntary coach for Miami during part of the offseason, but the Dolphins have been adamant they do not intend to sign him as a player. Last month, head coach Adam Gase declared that Welker is always welcome back in a "pseudo coaching-type" role. Ultimately, there just doesn't appear to be a market for the 35-year-old at this point in time, and although he won't be donning a Dolphins jersey seemingly ever again, Welker will forever live on in Miami lore as becoming one of the only players in NFL history to attempt a kickoff, extra point and field goal, return both a kickoff and punt, and log a tackle, all in a single game in 2004.

Rams' Wes Welker: Struggled to produce in 2015

Wes Welker finished an abbreviated campaign for St. Louis with 13 catches for 102 yards.Welker's career was considered to possibly be over before St. Louis signed him in November. While he wasn't bad, he didn't seem to have the spark he once had as a PPR monster. If he wants to keep playing, he's likely to find a home somewhere next season, but his days of fantasy relevance are nearing their conclusion.

    Rams' Wes Welker: Active Sunday

Wes Welker (calf) is active for Sunday's contest against the Lions, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.Welker is unlikely to experience an uptick in usage with the switch from Nick Foles to Case Keenum (concussion). However, even if he does, standout plays haven't been a part of Welker's repertoire as a Ram, as evidence by 4.5 YPT.

Rams' Wes Welker: Set to play against Lions

Wes Welker (calf) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Lions, Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports.Welker should see a few targets as his team's primary slot receiver, but there simply isn't much upside to be had in a run-first St. Louis offense that has scored 36 points in his four games. Welker only has nine catches for 72 yards on 16 targets, and it isn't clear that Case Keenum is an upgrade from Nick Foles.

    Rams' Wes Welker: Limited Wednesday

Wes Welker (calf) was limited in practice Wednesday, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.Welker has suited up in each of the St. Louis Rams' four games since joining the organization on Nov. 9, totaling nine catches (on 16 targets) for 72 yards. With such negligible production, he isn't much of a fantasy consideration, and a calf injury won't aid in finding success in a Case Keenum-helmed offense.

Rams' Wes Welker: Two catches for 15 yards in loss

Wes Welker hauled in two catches for 15 yards as the St. Louis Rams fell to the Cardinals 27-3 on Sunday. No matter who has been starting, the Rams' passing offense has been atrocious this season and that doesn't bode well for Welker. He has picked up a couple catches a week since joining St. Louis, but his days of being a PPR monster are long behind him.

Rams' Wes Welker: Catches pair of passes in loss

Wes Welker made a pair of catches for 12 yards in a 31-7 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. This was about on average with how Welker has done over his first three weeks, as he has seven catches for 57 yards. He won't see enough targets to make much of a difference in fantasy terms.

Rams' Wes Welker: Catches two passes Sunday

Wes Welker caught a pair of passes Sunday for 13 yards as the St. Louis Rams fell to the Ravens 16-13.Welker hasn't made much of an impact since joining the Rams, posting five catches for 45 yards. That has a lot to do with his quarterback situation, however, as Nick Foles and Case Keenum both had sub-par games in Welker's two weeks in the lineup. In this bad of a passing offense, receivers have minimal to no fantasy value.

Rams' Wes Welker: Minimal impact in season debut

Wes Welker caught three of his six targets for 32 yards in his season debut Sunday against the St. Louis Rams. The veteran was the second most frequently-tarageted Rams player in his first game, but his production was limited by his usage primarily on short passes. Welker could see his share of targets from week to week, and the Rams' impotent passing attack will limit his upside. A matchup against the porous Baltimore secondary is on tap in Week 11, but Welker is still far from a reliable fantasy asset at the moment.

Rams' Wes Welker: Likely to play Sunday

Wes Welker is expected to be active Sunday against the Ravens, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.Welker just signed with the St. Louis Rams this week, so while he has a strong track record in the NFL, he has barely had time to learn the playbook or even build a little chemistry with quarterback Nick Foles, so expectations should be tempered.
