Kraig Urbik: Calls it quits after nine seasons
Kraig Urbik announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday via a post on his personal Twitter account.Urbik, a 2009 third-round pick, spent nine years in the NFL with the Steelers, Bills and Dolphins, appearing in 100 regular-season contests (63 starts). The 32-year-old didn't suit up in 2017 after the Dolphins cut him in training camp while he was tending to a knee injury. Urbik noted that his slow recovery from the injury played a factor in his decision to retire, as he didn't believe he was capable of performing at the level he had in previous years.

Bills likely to insert Kraig Urbik into starting lineup at guard
Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone is exploring the option of making a change to the starting offensive line in an effort to improve the struggling unit, and inserting Kraig Urbik into the lineup ahead of rookie Cyril Richardson is the most likely move, BuffaloBills.com reports. "He’s got to be ready to step up and go," Marrone said of Urbik. "If he gets the call on Sunday I’m sure he’ll be ready to go." Two questionable Bills good to go
Buffalo Bills LB Kiko Alonso and OL Kraig Urbik are active Week 15 against the Jaguars. Alonso is dealing with a knee injury, and was limited in practice this week. Urbik has a foot issue. He did not practice early in the week, but improved to limited practice Friday.
