    Tony Hills: Retires from NFL

    Tony Hills announced his retirement from professional football Monday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.A fourth-round draft pick in 2008, Hills was a journeyman offensive tackle who signed with the Lions in early June after Taylor Decker sustained a torn labrum. He played for 10 teams in all throughout his career, primarily operating as a backup. The Lions signed Nick Becton, formerly of the Bears, in a corresponding move.

    Cowboys list Week 15 inactives vs. Eagles

    The Dallas Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 15 game against the Eagles: defensive tackle Josh Price-Brent (calf), linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring), quarterback Dustin Vaughan, tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins, defensive end Kenneth Boatright and defensive back Jakar Hamilton. Heath was doubtful to play Sunday while Watson had previously been ruled out.     The Dallas Cowboys have listed the following players as inactive for Thursday night's Week 14 matchup with the Bears: safety Jeff Heath (thumb), cornerback Tyler Patmon (knee, ankle), linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring), defensive end Demarcus Lawrence (chest), quarterback Dustin Vaughan and offensive tackles Tony Hills and Donald Hawkins. Lawrence was deemed questionable to play Thursday after being limited in practice Tuesday. Heath, Patmon and Watson were all ruled out for Week 14 on the team's final injury report.     Dolphins announce final cuts to get down to 53

    The Miami Dolphins have completed their series of cuts to pare down their roster to the league-mandated 53 heading into the regular season. The dispatched offensive players are quarterback Seth Lobato, linemen Tony Hills, David Arkin, Sam Brenner and Evan Finkenberg , wideouts Kevin Cone and Matt Hazel, running backs Marcus Thigpen and Daniel Thomas and tight end Evan Wilson . Among the defensive players let go are linemen Isaako Aaitui, Garrison Smith, Tevin Mims and D'Aundre Reed, linebacker Andrew Wilson and defensive backs Jordan Kovacs and Kevin Fogg. Placekicker Jake Rogers has also been waived. The Dolphins have also placed defensive tackle on IR and defensive end Dion Jordan and safety Reshad Jones on the reserve/suspended list.

    Raiders trim down to 53 players

    The Oakland Raiders officially finalized their 53-man roster Saturday by placing wide receiver Andre Holmes and guard Tony Bergstrom on the Reserve/Suspended List by the NFL. Oakland also released defensive end Andre Carter, linebacker Omar Gaither, tackle Tony Hills, safety Reggie Smith, and cornerback Joselio Hanson.
