Cardinals' Matt Prater: Won't play Week 10

Arizona downgraded Prater (hip/illness) from questionable to out in advance of Sunday's game against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Though Prater took the questionable designation into the weekend, his absence for the Week 10 game appeared to be a foregone conclusion after he didn't travel with the Cardinals to Los Angeles on Saturday. With Prater sidelined for the fourth time in six games on account of the right hip issue, the Cardinals have elevated Tristan Vizcaino from the practice squad to handle kicking duties this weekend.

Cardinals' Matt Prater: Doesn't travel with team

Prater (hip/illness) did not travel with the Cardinals to Los Angeles on Saturday, but he remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.

In addition to his hip issue, Prater has also been dealing with an illness. If he's feeling better, Balzer reports that Prater will travel on his own to Los Angeles in time for Arizona's Week 10 matchup. However, the team also signed Tristan Vizcaino on Saturday as insurance in case Prater is unable to suit up.

  • Chargers' Cameron Dicker: Suiting up again Sunday night

The Chargers elevated Dicker from their practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game at San Francisco.

Dicker will handle kicking duties for the Chargers for a second consecutive week Sunday. He knocked through both of his point-after tries and both of his field-goal attempts in Week 9 at Atlanta. After Week 10, the Chargers will only be allowed to activate him for one more game before he would need to be signed to the active roster in order to suit up.

  • Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: Season high despite miss

Pineiro made all four of his field-goal attempts but missed one of his two extra-point tries in Thursday night's 25-15 win over the Falcons.

Pineiro hit field goals from 46, 49, 40 and 37 yards. That accuracy helped him post a season-high 13 points despite misfiring on a PAT. Through 10 games, the veteran now sports 70 points.

  • Chargers' Cameron Dicker: Set for kicking duties Week 10

The Chargers plan to elevate Dicker from the practice squad to have him serve as their kicker in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

With Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) not yet ready to return to action, Dicker will handle kicking duties for the Chargers for the second game in a row. The undrafted rookie out of Texas took home AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for Week 10 after converting both of his extra-point tries while nailing two fourth-quarter field-goal tries -- including a game-winning 37-yarder as time expired -- in the Chargers' 20-17 victory over the Falcons.

  • Chargers' Dustin Hopkins: Ruled out again

Hopkins (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

With Hopkins -- who last suited up Week 6 -- still sidelined, Cameron Dicker is slated to be elevated from the practice squad to kick for the Chargers for the second straight game. Hopkins will target a potential return to action Week 11 versus Kansas City.

Cardinals' Matt Prater: Questionable to face Rams

Prater (hip/illness) didn't practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Prater missed Weeks 5 through 7 with the hip injury and has been limited in practice ever since, but his absence Friday seems to be on account of the ailment, which is ill-timed at the end of the week. If the Cardinals are truly concerned about Prater's availability for Sunday, they'll need to sign another kicker Friday or Saturday.

  • Younghoe Koo K | NYG

Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Misses both PAT tries Thursday

Koo made his only field-goal attempt but missed both of his extra-point tries during Thursday's 25-15 loss to the Panthers.

It wasn't a night to remember by any means for Koo, who missed both of his extra-point attempts during Thursday's contest in Carolina. However, the 28-year-old kicker knocked down his lone field-goal try from 33 yards out, just four days after he failed to sink a 50-yarder. Since the Falcons played Thursday, Koo now gets some extra time off to prepare for the team's Week 11 matchup versus Chicago.

Cardinals' Matt Prater: Another limited showing

Prater (hip) practiced on a limited basis Thursday.

As has been the norm for Prater the last three weeks, he's operating with a cap on his practice reps as he manages a right hip injury that forced him to sit out Weeks 5-7. Assuming the Cardinals remove his designation for a second straight week Friday, he'll be set to handle all kicking duties for the team Sunday at the Rams.

  • Chargers' Dustin Hopkins: Still not practicing

Hopkins (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

Hopkins has now missed two consecutive games due to a hamstring issue, and his absence from Thursday's session doesn't help his chances of returning Sunday night in San Francisco. Although the 32-year-old will have one more opportunity to practice in some capacity Friday, fantasy managers should prepare for practice squad kicker Cameron Dicker to receive an elevation to the Chargers' active roster and make his third start (second for Los Angeles) of the season.
