Travis Coons K | LAR
Chargers' Travis Coons: Promoted to active roster
The Chargers promoted Coons to their 53-man roster Saturday, putting him in line to serve as the team's kicker for at least Sunday's game against the Browns, Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com reports.
Coons will be the third kicker to play for the Chargers this season. Regular kicker Nick Novak (back) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday, but it looks like he's not ready to play given Coons' promotion. If Novak's back issues prove to be more of a long-term concern, Coons could handle kicking duties in future contests should he impress Sunday. The 25-year-old went 28-for-32 on field-goal attempts and missed two extra points in 2015 as the kicker for the Browns.

Matt Bryant K | ATL
Falcons' Matt Bryant: Cleared to play
Bryant (back) doesn't have a designation on the final injury report for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Bryant has made a number of appearances on the injury report this season but has yet to miss a game. While his volume hasn't approached last season's level, he has been as reliable as ever with the chances he has had, converting 21 of 24 field-goal attempts and each of his 28 extra-point tries.

Matt Bryant K | ATL
Falcons' Matt Bryant: Held out of practice
Bryant didn't practice Wednesday due to a back injury, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Bryant has made an unusual number of injury report appearances for a kicker this season, but he's yet to actually miss a game and has been as accurate as ever. The only cause for concern is the fact that he dealt with a back injury earlier this season, but there hasn't been any suggestion that his recent flare-up is serious.

Giorgio Tavecchio K | ATL
Raiders' Giorgio Tavecchio: Should retain kicking role rest of way
Tavecchio is expected to serve as the Raiders' kicker the rest of the season with Sebastian Janikowski (back) not slated to be activated from injured reserve, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The Raiders opted to use their two designations for return from IR on defensive backs Obi Melifonwu and Antonio Hamilton (knee), with Tavecchio's strong showing this season likely influencing the team's decision not to activate Janikowski, who is slated to become a free agent this offseason. Tavecchio, who has converted 12 of 15 field goals this season, including three makes from 50-plus yards, will be an exclusive rights free agent after the season, but he should be cheaper for the Raiders to retain than Janikowski would be.

Travis Coons K | LAR
Travis Coons: Joins Chargers' practice squad
The Chargers will sign Coons to their practice squad Wednesday, according to the kicker's agent, Brett Tessler.
The transaction leaves Coons first in line to assume kicking duties for the Bolts in the event Nick Novak (back) is unable to play Sunday against the Browns. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chargers remain optimistic that Novak will be able to play Week 13 barring any setbacks during practice, so Coons won't be promoted to the 53-man roster unless Novak's condition doesn't improve as anticipated. Coons last appeared in the NFL in 2015, serving as Cleveland's kicker for all 16 of their games and converting 28 of 32 field-goal tries and 22 of 24 extra-point attempts.

Ka'imi Fairbairn K | HOU
Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Perfect in Week 12 loss
Fairbairn connected on all three field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point kick in Monday's 23-16 loss to the Ravens.
In an ideal world, the Texans would have finished off those drives -- they scored one touchdown in four trips to the red zone -- but those failed drives enabled Fairbairn to post 10 points, a seven-week high. There's been some growing pains on offense since Tom Savage took over for Deshaun Watson (knee), but he's moved the team better the last two games, which has led to more scoring opportunities for Fairbairn.

Zane Gonzalez K | ATL
Browns' Zane Gonzalez: Sets career high
Gonzalez converted three of four field-goal attempts -- hitting from 27, 21 and 39 yards and missing wide left from 43 yards -- and also made his only extra-point try en route to 10 points in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Bengals.
Gonzalez was one of few bright spots for the lowly Browns, as he set a new career high in points. Considering he still only sports 50 points on the campaign, though, it's clear to see his limitations.
-
Brandon McManus K | GB
Broncos' Brandon McManus: Just two points
McManus did not attempt a field goal but made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Raiders.
McManus sports just seven points over his last two outings, as the Broncos offense has struggled to put him in scoring position. With another quarterback change looming, he'll hope they break their rut Sunday in Miami.

Cairo Santos K | CHI
Bears' Cairo Santos: Misses kick in team debut
Santos made one of his two field-goal attempts (38 yards) and did not take an extra point in Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Eagles.
Santos started his Bears career by missing a 54-yarder, but he later rallied to convert a 38-yard attempt. Although Chicago's offense probably won't afford him as many scoring opportunities as Kansas City's used to, Sunday's matchup against the 49ers at least appears promising.

Blair Walsh K | ATL
Seahawks' Blair Walsh: Misses field goal
Walsh made one of his two field-goal attempts (34 yards) and all three of his extra-point tries en route to six points in Sunday's 24-13 win over the 49ers.
Walsh has missed a field goal in back-to-back games, with his latest failed attempt coming from 48 yards. On the season, his 78 points rank just outside the top 15 leaguewide.
