Browns' Travis Coons: Nails four FGs in victory

Coons was marvelous again Sunday, hitting four field goals (43, 43, 37, 32) and converting his lone extra point attempt.

Coons converted his first career game-winning field goal in overtime, drilling a 32-yard shot to lock down the victory for the Browns. He may have even scored a few more points had the Browns not attempted multiple two-point conversions late in the game. The 23-year-old has been quietly productive for Cleveland, and remains without a missed kick in the 2015 season. This output has lifted Coons into the league's top-ten total scorers with 42 points on the year.

  • Redskins' Dustin Hopkins: Hopkins misses first field goal of the season

Hopkins made two of three field goals - making a 52 yarder and missing a 53 yarder in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.

Hopkins is eight for nine on field goals this season.

  • Bills sign Billy Cundiff with Dan Carpenter at less than 100 percent

Kicker Billy Cundiff has been signed by the Bills, according to WKBW in Buffalo.

The veteran kicker will likely be the backup to Dan Carpenter, who has been dealing with a minor knee issue. The Bills released kicker Jordan Gay to make room for Cundiff on the roster.

  • Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein remains perfect through four games

Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein connected on a 30-yard field goal and hit all three of his extra points in Sunday's 24-22 victory against Arizona.

Although he hasn't been used extensively, Zuerlein has still been rock solid with six field goals and eight extra points. While that's not going to garner much fantasy attention, he certainly has produced as well as St. Louis could have hoped thus far.

  • Cairo Santos K | CHI

Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos makes seven field goals in Week 4 loss

Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos made all seven of his field goal attempts Sunday against the Bengals.

Santos had all of four field goal attempts through three weeks this season, but nearly tripled his total with his efforts Sunday. The Chiefs face the relatively porous defense of the Bears in Week 5, which could lead to a fair amount of scoring chances for a team averaging 25 points per game.

  • Blair Walsh K | ATL

Vikings kicker Blair Walsh misses another field goal in Week 4 loss

Vikings kicker Blair Walsh made two of three field goals and both extra point attempts in Sunday's loss at Denver. He missed a 39-yard field goal attempt. "He needs to make those kicks. It's disappointing," head coach Mike Zimmer told ESPN 1500 am Twin Cities.

Walsh's struggles continue as he's missed a field goal in his of his last seven games, including the preseason. He's 5 of 7 on field goal attempts during the regular season.

  • Jason Myers K | SEA

Jaguars kicker Jason Myers misses two key field goals Sunday

Jaguars kicker Jason Myers connected on 2 of 4 field goal attempts in Sunday's loss to the Colts. Myers was 5 of 6 on the season entering Sunday, and while his two made field goals provided some fantasy value, both misses proved to be costly for the 1-3 Jaguars.

With six seconds remaining in the game, Myers missed what would have been a go-ahead 53-yard field goal, and he again failed to connect in overtime, pushing a 48-yarder wide left on Jacksonville's second possession of the extra period. The Colts subsequently assumed possession at their own 30 yard line and marched down the field for a game-winning field goal of their own.

  • Travis Coons K | LAR

Browns PK Travis Coons sends four through uprights Sunday

Browns placekicker Travis Coons was perfect again Sunday, hitting four field goals (40, 36, 33, 28) and converting his only extra point attempt.

Coons remained flawless on the season, providing his best scoring output to date. As a cheap option in daily formats, Coons certainly returned well over his projected value. The Cleveland offense must perform more consistently before he can be confidently recommended to Fantasy owners, but it has been scoring more points than expected recently.

  • Zach Hocker K | TB

Saints kicker Zach Hocker misses potential game-winner in Week 4

Saints kicker Zach Hocker made 2 of 3 field goal attempts and added two extra point conversions in Sunday's win against the Cowboys.

Hocker nailed both a long 51-yard field goal and a chip-shot 29-yard kick in third quarter, but most will likely remember his lone miss on the night - a short 30-yard attempt that would have won the Saints the game with only a few seconds left in regulation.

The Saints quickly made amends for Hocker's error when Drew Brees found C.J. Spiller for an 80-yard touchdown on the second play of overtime, but the miss was now Hocker's third of the season (two field goals and one extra point).

Still, Hocker is 7 of 9 on field goal tries this season, so he likely has some leeway, but he would be advised to make the most of his chances over the next few weeks.

  • Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis struggles in Week 4

Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis missed a 33-yard field goal and one of two extra points in Sunday's loss to Washington. As far as debuts go, Sturgis's could have gone better.

He missed four points' worth of kicks in a game that the Eagles lost by three, a brutal beginning to his tenure in Philadelphia. With kicker turnover on the rise recently, Sturgis's job could be in jeopardy this week, and he's definitely a player to avoid picking up until his job is officially secure for Sunday's game against New Orleans.
