Caleb Sturgis nails four field goals in win
Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis had a huge game to open the season against the Patriots in Week 1 Sunday, in a 33-20 win.
Sturgis got plenty of work in the game, and he made every opportunity count. He nailed all four of his field-goal attempts, from 38, 24, 22 and 27 yards, and was good on a pair of point-after touchdowns as well.
The Dolphins face the Bills in Week 2.

Cairo Santos converts at 50 percent in NFL debut
Chiefs rookie kicker Cairo Santos converted 1 of 2 field goals in his regular-season debut during a 26-10 loss Week 1 vs. Tennessee.
Santos opened the scoring with a 35-yard field goal early in the second quarter, which bounced off the right upright. On the next drive, however, Santos wasn't as lucky. He hit the left upright on a 48-yard attempt, and this time the bounce didn't go his way. It was the first miss of his career.
Santos made his lone extra-point attempt in the loss. The Chiefs are back in action Week 2 at Denver.

Blair Walsh delivers two long field goals in Week 1 win
Vikings kicker Blair Walsh made both his field-goal attempts Sunday, hitting from 52 and 46 yards while racking up four extra-points in his team's 34-6 win over the Rams in Week 1.
Walsh hit both his field goals early, putting his team up 6-0 early in the second quarter before being limited to extra-point duty over the remainder of the game. He went 7 for 11 from 40-plus yards last season after making 17 of his 19 attempts from that distance in his rookie year. Walsh will get his first taste of the outdoors in Week 2 when the Patriots come to play on the Vikings' temporary home field.

Three Dolphins were not able to practice Wednesday: center Mike Pouncey, defensive end Terrence Fede (knee), center Mike Pouncey (hip) and linebacker Jordan Tripp (chest).
The following players were limited participants in Wednesday's practice: safety Walt Aikens (hand), tight end Charles Clay (knee), linebacker Koa Misi (shoulder), defensive end Derrick Shelby (illness), kicker Caleb Sturgis (groin), cornerback Jamar Taylor (hip), guard Billy Turner (foot) and linebacker Philip Wheeler (thumb).

Dolphins kicker Caleb Sturgis said he's fully recovered from his nagging groin injury, reports the Palm Beach Post. "I feel great," he said. "I'm excited to be back."

Cairo Santos beats out Ryan Succop
Undrafted free agent Cairo Santos beat out Ryan Succop to be the Chiefs' kicker. Santos, who hit 16 of 23 field goals at Tulane last season, made all three of his preseason tries and showed a booming leg on kickoffs.
