  • Sam Darnold QB | SEA

Jets' Sam Darnold: Dealing with pair of injuries

Darnold emerged from Sunday's 22-6 loss at Cincinnati with a knee injury and bruised ribs, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.

Darnold incurred four sacks and nine quarterback hits en route to 28-for-48 passing, 239 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. Near the end of the contest, he was seen with a visible limp, which he chalked up as a foot injury, per Olivia Landis of the Jets' official site. Coach Adam Gase clarified Darnold's health concerns Monday but also stated he expects the second-year signal-caller to be "fine." Wednesday's injury report will reveal how much Darnold was able to practice to kick off Week 14 prep.

  • Jaguars' Gardner Minshew: Back as starting QB

Minshew will return as the Jaguars' starting quarterback Sunday against the Chargers, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Taking over for a futile Nick Foles this past Sunday versus the Buccaneers, Minshew fared slightly better during the 28-11 loss. Overall this season, Minshew has completed 61 percent of his passes, averaged 243.2 yards per game and posted a 14:5 TD:INT in 10 appearances.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Expected to be fine for Week 14

Coach Freddie Kitchens indicated Monday that Mayfield should be fine this week despite the hand injury the QB suffered in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Steelers, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Kitchens added that Mayfield will practice throughout the week, though it's possible that the QB will be listed as a limited participant come Wednesday.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Tending to sore ankle

Coach Pat Shurmur said that Jones is dealing with a sore ankle in the aftermath of Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Packers, but he expects the rookie signal-caller to be "fine" for the Week 14 matchup with the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Jones was examined by the training staff after twisting his ankle on a fourth-down run in the second quarter, but he ultimately took all 67 of the Giants' offensive snaps en route to finishing the day with 20 completions for 240 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions across 37 attempts. Shurmur noted that Jones won't require further tests on the ankle, so there doesn't seem to be much concern about the quarterback's ability to suit up against the Eagles on Monday Night Football. That said, Jones' reps could be managed leading up to the contest, so it bears checking back on his status Thursday, when the Giants release their first practice report of Week 14.

  • Will Grier QB | CAR

Panthers' Will Grier: Sticking in backup role

Coach Ron Rivera said Monday that Grier will remain the backup to Kyle Allen, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Rivera said "who knows" when asked whether Grier will get an opportunity to play this season, per Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer. The rookie third-round pick hasn't seen any game action since the preseason. The Panthers are on a four-game losing streak, and it remains possible that the team could consider a change under center should that pattern continue.

  • Kyle Allen QB | BUF

Panthers' Kyle Allen: Retains starting job

Coach Ron Rivera said Monday that Allen will "absolutely" remain the Panthers' starting quarterback, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Though Allen accounted for three touchdowns for a second straight game in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Redskins, he wasn't particularly efficient while directing the offense, completing only 58.7 percent of his throws for a meager 6.0 yards per attempt and committing two turnovers. The second-year signal-caller already has five multi-turnover outings through his 10 starts, taking some of the shine off what had been a productive run when he initially took over for the injured Cam Newton (foot) in Week 3. Even with another developmental quarterback in third-round rookie Will Grier on the roster, the 5-7 Panthers will continue to cast their lot with Allen as they aim to keep their faint playoff hopes alive.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: X-rays negative

X-rays taken on Mayfield's right hand during halftime of Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh came back negative, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Mayfield was removed from Sunday's loss late in the first half after his throwing hand struck the facemask of linebacker Bud Dupree. The quarterback said he plans to play next week at home against Cincinnati, though the hand will be closely monitored during this week's preparation for Week 14. Mayfield added the hand was numb, and he's unsure if he'll need to undergo an MRI. Head coach Freddie Kitchens described the injury as a "contusion" and "bruise."

  • Deshaun Watson QB | CLE

Texans' Deshaun Watson: Involved on every score

Watson completed 18 of 25 pass attempts for 234 yards and three touchdowns while also catching a six-yard touchdown in Sunday's 28-22 win over the Patriots.

Watson recorded his first career reception and receiving touchdown in one go on a triple-option play where he was on the receiving end of a pitch from wideout DeAndre Hopkins. Outside of the unconventional score, it was just another day at the office for the star quarterback despite facing one of the league's top defenses. It was also a marked improvement over Watson's last regular-season meeting with New England back in Week 1 of the 2018 season (174 yards, one touchdown and one interception), where the then 23-year-old looked like Sam Darnold did against the Pats' D this year. Watson is clearly becoming one of the league's top pocket passers while maintaining his versatile athleticism. A tough matchup against Denver's pass defense should not scare fantasy owners after the signal-caller took care of business against a stingier New England squad.

  • Ryan Tannehill QB | TEN

Titans' Ryan Tannehill: Efficient in win

Tannehill completed 17 of 22 pass attempts for 182 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans' Week 13 win over the Colts.

Tannehill faced an abnormal amount of pressure -- he was sacked six times -- skewing his pass volume downward. However, when he got the ball out, Tannehill worked efficiently, completing 77 percent of his throws and averaging 8.3 yards per attempt. He has recorded multiple touchdowns in every game since taking over as the team's starting quarterback in Week 7, helping him maintain value despite low volume. Tannehill will be in a strong position to keep his impressive run going, as the Titans will take on the Raiders in Week 14.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Surprisingly quiet in rout

Mahomes completed 15 of 29 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown while adding 25 yards and a TD on three carries in Sunday's 40-9 win over the Raiders.

On a windy day at Arrowhead Stadium, the Chiefs did most of their damage on the ground with three rushing touchdowns, including Mahomes' 13-yard scamper. The quarterback has now shockingly failed to top 200 passing yards in three of his last four games, although there were extenuating circumstances for each poor performance, and they are sandwiched around a 446-yard, three-TD eruption against the Titans. Mahomes may not be able to afford another quiet outing in Week 14's road clash with the Patriots.
