Lock is questionable to return to Monday's preseason game against the 49ers due to a hand injury, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Lock suffered the injury early in the third quarter when he appeared to fall on his left hand while scrambling to avoid pressure. The severity of the rookie second-rounder's injury remains unknown at this time, but the signal-caller reportedly could continue taking snaps into the fourth quarter if he's cleared to return.

Garoppolo is expected to play in Monday's preseason contest in Denver, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

If he indeed gets the first shot to run the 49ers offense, Garoppolo will be without three interior O-line starters and a number of skill-position regulars, so his time on the field may be brief. On the other hand, an absence would leave him with likely just one more chance (Saturday at Kansas City) to make an appearance during exhibition season.

Rodgers, whose back tightened up after last Tuesday's practice, indicated Monday that at this point he feels fine, noting that there's no concern with regard to his Week 1 status, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

In fact, Rodgers thought about practicing Sunday, but elected to play it safe. As far as the QB seeing action in Thursday's preseason game against the Raiders, coach Matt LaFleur relayed Monday that "we'll see," while adding, "It's certainly not a priority. I don't think it's going to make or break us one way or another. I've got so much confidence in him."

Sudfeld (wrist) removed the cast on his left arm Sunday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Sudfeld underwent surgery to address a broken bone above his left wrist Aug. 9 and appears to be progressing well in his recovery. The fourth-year quarterback still projects to miss time during the early weeks of the regular season and is now facing competition for Philadelphia's top backup gig from newly-signed veteran Josh McCown.

Rodgers (back) was limited during Monday's practice and did not suit up with the first team, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Rodgers was held out of practice over the weekend due to back tightness, after having been a late scratch for last Thursday's preseason game against the Ravens. The veteran signal-caller returned to practice Monday and appears to have participated in a limited capacity as the Packers take a cautious approach to his recovery. Though Rodgers is on track to suit up for Thursday's preseason tilt against the Raiders, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, the extent of his participation throughout the week will be worth monitoring.

Stafford said his back injury from last year isn't a lingering issue, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News reports.

MLive.com's Kyle Meinke suggests there may be something going on with Stafford, who has been rested for a few practices and held out for the first two weeks of the preseason. The 31-year-old quarterback insists he's healthy, noting that the back injury he played through last year didn't even require offseason surgery. A strong showing in Friday's preseason game against Buffalo could put the matter to rest.

His return Monday supports a statement from GM Brian Gutekunst, who said Rodgers is expected to play in Thursday's exhibition against the Raiders. Coach Matt LaFleur suggested Rodgers would've played through the back tightness last week if it had been the regular season instead of the preseason.

After the session, coach Matt LaFleur wasn't too worried about Rodgers, stating the Packers likely wouldn't be taking a cautious approach if the regular season was ongoing. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that would be the case," LaFleur said. "I think even the other night ... but with it being the preseason, it wasn't worth it." If Rodgers doesn't get to run the offense in a game before Week 1, he'll be doing so for the first time in the opener at Chicago.

Wilson completed six of nine pass attempts for 82 yards, adding nine yards on two carries in Sunday's preseason tilt against the Vikings.

Wilson received his first game action after sitting out the first week of the preseason. The 30-year-old looked to be in midseason form over the two drives he commanded, completing two third-down conversions in the face of Minnesota blitzes. Wilson showed good rapport with new top wideout Tyler Lockett (three catches for 27 yards), and a strong showing from rookie DK Metcalf -- after he recovers from knee surgery -- could help alleviate the loss of Doug Baldwin to retirement. Look for the Seahawks' signal caller to get more playing time in Saturday's preseason matchup with the Chargers.

Lynch (head) had to exit Sunday's preseason matchup with the Vikings in the fourth quarter after taking an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit from Vikings cornerback Holton Hill, Gregg Bell of The News Tribune reports.

Hill was ejected on the play, while Lynch was eventually able to walk to the sideline under his own power. Lynch had struggled prior to leaving the game, completing only six of 15 passes for 67 yards without a touchdown or turnover. His bid to beat out Geno Smith for the backup job behind Russell Wilson looks unlikely to succeed at this point.
