Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
Cardinals' Blaine Gabbert: Could sign extension
The Cardinals are interested in signing Gabbert to a contract extension, Mike Jurecki of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.
With Carson Palmer (arm) believed to be considering retirement, Gabbert could be the Cardinals' choice as a short-term bridge while they try to obtain a franchise quarterback. General manager John Keim at one point suggested that Gabbert might actually become that player, but the veteran's performance in four games as the starter hasn't done much to inspire confidence. He's completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 6.9 yards per attempt, tossing five touchdowns and four interceptions while absorbing 18 sacks (4.5 per game) and failing to make an impact as a runner (16 carries for 54 yards). Between his work this year and his performance in San Francisco the past two seasons, Gabbert hasn't provided much indication of being anything more than a solid backup.

Tom Savage QB | DET
Texans' Tom Savage: Unlikely to start Week 15
Texans head coach Bill O'Brien expects T.J. Yates to start over Savage (concussion) in Sunday's game in Jacksonville, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Per Wilson, O'Brien also said he isn't sure about the backup situation, perhaps hinting that Yates will get the start even if Savage passes through the NFL's concussion protocol prior to Sunday's game. The Texans are getting a lot of heat for taking too long to place Savage in the protocol, as he initially was allowed to return to Sunday's 26-16 loss to the 49ers after taking a massive hit that left his hands twitching. He was removed shortly thereafter and Yates proceeded to complete 14 of 26 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Following his solid work in a home game against a bad defense, Yates likely will have a much tougher time Week 15 in Jacksonville.

Christian Hackenberg QB | LV
Jets' Christian Hackenberg: Could get look over final three games
Hackenberg could get a look before the end of the season if Josh McCown can't play with a broken left hand, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Ineffective in the preseason, Hackenberg has been a healthy scratch as the No. 3 quarterback all year. Jets head coach Todd Bowles already said Bryce Petty will take over as the starter for Week 15 in New Orleans if McCown can't play through his injury, but that doesn't necessarily mean the team would stick with Petty for the rest of the season. It still seems pretty clear that the Jets don't view Petty or Hackenberg as a potential franchise quarterback. The team figures to acquire a young signal caller in the 2018 draft, while McCown has made a strong case to stick around for another year. Regardless of what happens over the next few weeks, Hackenberg likely will find himself fighting for a roster spot in camp next year.

Trevor Siemian QB | ATL
Broncos' Trevor Siemian: Has second straight 200-yard game
Siemian completed 19 of 31 pass attempts for 200 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-0 defeat of the Jets.
It was the third time in the last four games Siemian has completed exactly 19 passes for between 198 and 200 yards. The 25-year-old has been fairly consistent if you ignore his three interceptions in two of those contests. He is only relevant in deep or two-quarterback leagues despite an excellent matchup with Indianapolis in Week 15.
-
Jared Goff QB | DET
Rams' Jared Goff: Throws two touchdowns versus Eagles
Goff completed 16 of 26 pass attempts for 199 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Eagles. He also carried two times for two yards and lost a fumble in the 43-35 loss.
Goff completed 62 percent of his passes and averaged 7.7 yards per attempt while completing touchdown passes to Cooper Kupp and Sammy Watkins. He had one final opportunity to heave a desperation pass at the end of the game but wound up fumbling and watching as the visitors returned it for a touchdown. Despite posting his second-lowest yardage total of the season, Goff now has five games with multiple touchdown passes and no interceptions this season to illustrate his remarkable development under a new coaching regime. He'll look to get back to his winning ways next week against the Seahawks.
-
Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Three scores, three picks in wild loss
Wilson completed 17 of 31 passes for 271 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Jaguars. He also rushed five times for 50 yards.
Wilson once again took the Seahawks' offense on his shoulders and nearly helped them pull out an improbable comeback with a pair of long fourth-quarter touchdowns. He hit Paul Richardson from 61 yards out with 9:48 to play to bring Seattle to within 27-17 and then came back with a 74-yard scoring strike to Tyler Lockett at the 3:42 mark of the fourth quarter. However, Wilson also short-circuited three drives with interceptions, including two second-half picks in Jacksonville territory. Despite the unfavorable conclusion, Wilson has now thrown multiple touchdown passes in eight straight games, pushing his season total to 29, the second-best mark of his career. He'll look to continue his strong production when the Seahawks meet the Rams in a key Week 15 matchup.
-
Kirk Cousins QB | LV
Redskins' Kirk Cousins: Throws for 151 yards in blowout loss
Cousins completed 15 of 27 passes for 151 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Chargers. He also rushed twice for eight yards.
Cousins was only brought down twice by the Chargers' ferocious pass rush, but he was pressured plenty and generated his lowest passing yardage total of the season in the process. The six-year veteran's 55.6 percent completion rate was also his lowest of the season, as was the 68.6 rating with which he finished the contest. The Redskins are essentially without postseason hope at 5-8, but Cousins will try to help them break a two-game losing streak against the Cardinals in Week 15.
-
Bryce Petty QB | MIA
Jets' Bryce Petty: Next in line to start
Jets head coach Todd Bowles said Petty will take over as the starter if Josh McCown can't play with a broken left hand, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The Jets are still exploring the possibility of McCown playing through the injury, but with the playoffs not part of the equation, it probably makes more sense to give Petty the starting nod for Week 15 in New Orleans. Petty was completely ineffective after replacing McCown in the third quarter of Sunday's 23-0 loss to the Broncos, completing only two of nine passes for 14 yards. A switch from McCown to Petty likely would necessitate a major downgrade for Jets wide receivers Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse.

Blaine Gabbert QB | KC
Cardinals' Blaine Gabbert: Uninspiring in victory
Gabbert completed 17 of 26 passes for 178 yards while rushing four times for 12 yards during Sunday's 12-7 victory over the Titans.
Gabbert struggled to get into a rhythm in the first half, leading his team to just 64 yards of total offense thanks to a number of errant passes and four costly sacks -- including one where Gabbert simply ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage. Although he failed to reach the end zone before the final whistle, Gabbert proceeded to orchestrate four scoring drives in the second half that just so happened to be enough for Arizona to pull out the victory. If the Missouri product remains the Cardinals' starting quarterback for another week, he'll draw a matchup with a middling Redskins defense that hovers around league-average against the pass in most significant defensive categories. However, after posting a 1:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio across his past two starts while absorbing 15 sacks along the way, Gabbert is best left on the fantasy waiver wire.

Marcus Mariota QB | WAS
Titans' Marcus Mariota: Plays through knee injury
Mariota played through a knee injury in Sunday's 12-7 loss to the Cardinals, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
While he didn't miss any snaps, Mariota did struggle through arguably his worst performance of the season, completing 16 of 31 passes for 159 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He added only two carries for 11 yards, though the disappointing lack of rushing production isn't exactly a new development. Head coach Mike Mularkey's postgame comments didn't give much reason to think Mariota will be in danger of missing Week 15 in San Francisco. The quarterback does figure to show up on the injury report during the upcoming week.
