Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Bengals after suffering an apparent hand injury, reports SI.com.

Carr had to head to the locker room to receive treatment on his hand. He was replaced by Matt McGloin. Carr's return is questionable

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson came out throwing as Seattle opened its season against the Rams on Sunday.

Wilson completed 32 of 41 passes for 251 yards and a touchdown. He connected on a seven-yard pass to tightend Jimmy Graham in the fourth quarter, helping his team rally and force overtime.

Wilson didn't play a perfect game, he was intercepted in the first quarter and sacked three times.

Seattle and Wilson will travel to Green Bay for a rematch of last season's NFC Championship game during Week 2.

The Packers entered Week 1 against the Bears with a banged up receiving corps, but that didn't seem to bother quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a 31-23 victory. With Jordy Nelson (knee) out for the season and Randall Cobb (shoulder) at less than 100 percent, Rodgers tossed for three touchdowns in the season-opening win.

Rodgers' first touchdown pass came with 43 seconds left in the first quarter, as he connected with James Jones for the first of two touchdowns to the veteran receiver. Jones' 13-yard touchdown catch gave Green Bay a 7-3 lead.

Rodgers found Jones, who was signed last week after the Giants released him, again early in the third quarter for a 1-yard touchdown to put Green Bay ahead 17-13. Rodgers' final touchdown went to Randall Cobb with 10:26 left in the fourth quarter, giving Green Bay a 24-16 lead.

Rodgers completed 18 of 23 passes for 189 yards. He added another 35 yards on the ground.

The Packers are back in action Week 2 vs. Seattle.

Chalk up as a success the first performance of Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor since being named the starter.

Taylor outperformed Colts counterpart Andrew Luck in leading his team to victory Sunday. He compiled a 123.8 quarterback rating by completing 14 of 19 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown. He was not intercepted.

The lone score was a 51-yard strike to veteran wideout Percy Harvin with just one second remaining in the first quarter.

Taylor also contributed on the ground by rushing for 41 yards in nine attempts. He will try to guide his team to another win in Week 2 against the Patriots.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill tossed just one touchdown pass Sunday in Washington, but his first game of the 2015 season was a success.

Tannehill led his team to victory by completing 22 of 34 passes for 224 yards and a 2-yard scoring strike to Rishard Matthews with just 27 seconds remaining in the first half. He spread the ball around, hitting seven different receivers.

He will attempt to improve Miami's record to 2-0 in Week 2 against the Jaguars.

Redskins new starting quarterback Kirk Cousins did not distinguish himself Sunday in the season opener against visiting Miami. He completed 21 of 31 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown. He also tossed two interceptions.

Cousins hit Jordan Reed for a 3-yard score with under two minutes remaining in the first half, but the Redskins were blanked thereafter and wound up with a defeat.

His next game is set for Sunday against St. Louis.

It didn't take long for Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer to get benched, at least temporarily. He was removed with 6:10 remaining in the season opener against Kansas City in favor of Ryan Mallett after a poor performance.

Hoyer completed just 18 of 33 pass attempts for 236 yards and threw one interception. He did throw a touchdown pass, however, in the 27-20 loss to the Chiefs.

Hoyer beat out Mallett for the starting job in the preseason. Coach Bill O'Brien did not provide any immediate clarity on the team's quarterback situation moving forward.

Bills linebacker IK Enemkpali is facing at least a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy for breaking Jets quarterback Geno Smith's jaw during a preseason locker room incident, sources told NFL Network.

Enemkpali is appealing the suspension, which could be as many as six games. Smith is not facing a suspension for his role in the incident.

While Smith will miss the start of the season due to the injury, he has returned to practice. Enemkpali did not make the Bills' 53-man roster, but he was signed to the practice squad earlier this week.

The Eagles are no longer engaged in talks about a short-term contract extension with quarterback Sam Bradford, a source told ESPN. Bradford's preseason success changed the dynamics, according to the report.

Bradford, who is in his first year with the Eagles following an offseason trade with St. Louis, completed 13 of 15 passes for three touchdowns and no interceptions in limited action during the preseason.

Jets quarterback Geno Smith, who is recovering from a broken jaw, put on a helmet and showed progress at team practice on Monday, per Nj.com.

Smith suffered a broken jaw on Aug. 11 after being punched by a former teammate and underwent surgery two days later. It's unlikely that he will be available for New York's season opener on Sunday.
