Jets quarterback Geno Smith will be out 6-10 weeks after suffering a broken jaw as a result of a punch by teammate IK Enemkpali, coach Todd Bowles said according to the New York Times.

Smith was sucker punched in the locker room on Tuesday, and Enemkpali was subsequently released from the organization.

"You don't walk up to another man and punch him in the face," Bowles said per the New York Times.

Bowles implied that the altercation between the two was 'childish' and something that 'sixth graders could have talked about."

Smith's jaw is broken in two places, according to ESPN's Adam Shefter. 

Vikings starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater didn't hang around long in the Hall of Fame Game played Sunday against Pittsburgh, but he was efficient during his time on the field.

Bridgewater completed 5 of 6 passes for 44 yards in a victory. He rushed for six yards in his only attempt.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson does not have a no-baseball clause in his new contract with the team, sources confirmed to NBC Sports.

Wilson has expressed a desire to play both sports in the past. He made it clear that playing both sports would be a real option if his baseball rights were traded from the Texas Rangers to the Seattle Mariners.

Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater missed Friday's walkthrough due to a family matter, per ESPN.

Bridgewater is expected back in time for Sunday's Hall of Fame Game and will take a few series. 

The Eagles have been working on a contract extension for quarterback Sam Bradford, with the hopes of gaining control of Bradford for beyond this season at a minimum, according to a report from ESPN's Ed Werder. 

Bradford has impressed coaches thus far in offseason workouts and despite his history of injuries, the former No. 1 draft pick has many of the traits in which Eagles coach Chip Kelly admires. 

"Peyton Manning switched teams because of an injury,'' Kelly said. "Drew Brees switched teams because of an injury. So we went down that path."

Bradford has one year left on his rookie contract, and is scheduled to make $12.9 million this season. He has not played in an NFL game since 2013. 

Barring an injury, Eagles coach Chip Kelly said quarterback Sam Bradford will start the first preseason game, reports the Philadelphia Daily News.

Bradford has also been fully cleared to take part in practice and will not wear a brace on his knee. Bradford has sustained two ACL tears in his knee over the last two seasons.

As expected, Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith named Jameis Winston his starting quarterback Friday, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

Winston was competing with quarterback Mike Glennon for the starting role. Winston was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 draft and will receive the majority of the first-team repetitions during training camp.

"We brought him in here to be our quarterback," Smith said, per NFL.com.

The Seahawks agreed to a contract extension with quarterback Russell Wilson on Friday, a source told SI.com.

The extension is for four years and $87.6 million. The deal includes a $31 million signing bonus and an estimated $60 million in guaranteed money. Wilson confirmed the four year extension on his Twitter account. 

Wilson has one Super Bowl win and has thrown for 72 touchdowns with 26 interceptions in his three-year career.

Steelers backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski has been dealing with a sore shoulder for most of the last two months and is not ready for training camp.

"A couple weeks ... I'm not sure," he told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review about a timetable for his return. "It's nothing serious. I am thankful that we have a long training camp and we have plenty of time."

Gradkowski will almost certainly be out when his team plays in the Hall of Fame Game on Aug. 9.

Heading into training camp, Colt McCoy remains confident that he can be a starter in the NFL but also realizes the Redskins' QB role belongs to Robert Griffin III, per The Washington Post. 

McCoy, who signed a one-year deal with Washington after starting one game last season, said he decided to return to the Redskins based on the coaching staff and not his chances to play this year. Even though Griffin is the incumbent, McCoy believes he could step in and contribute.

"I don't think I would be continuing to play if I didn't believe in my heart that I could start every week in this league," he said.
