Seahawks' Cam Akers: Signs reserve/future contract
Akers signed a reserve/future contract with the Seahawks on Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
The running back was elevated from the practice squad for Super Bowl LX and played four snaps on special teams. In 2025, he spent time with the Vikings and Seahawks, appeared in six regular-season games and carried the ball five times for 19 yards. Now, he'll likely remain with Seattle at least into OTAs.

Julius Chestnut RB | TEN
Titans' Julius Chestnut: Production dips in 2025
Chestnut rushed 11 times for 40 yards and failed to catch either of his two targets across 17 regular-season games in 2025. Additionally, he tallied 81 kick-return yards.
Chestnut saw declines across several statistical categories compared to his 2024 campaign, logging fewer carries (22 to 11) and posting fewer rushing (102 to 40) and receiving (11 to zero) yards while playing 40 fewer offensive snaps. He also returned 10 fewer kicks than he did in 2024 but was more efficient this season, averaging 27.0 yards per return. Set to enter unrestricted free agency this offseason, Chestnut could draw interest from teams in need of running-back depth to compete for a backup role ahead of the 2026 season.

Adam Prentice FB | DEN
Broncos' Adam Prentice: Finishes quiet 2025 season
Prentice ended the 2025 regular season with 10 carries for 44 yards, adding six receptions (on eight targets) for 53 yards across 17 games. He added one catch for three yards over two playoff contests.
Prentice was minimally involved in the Broncos' offensive attack this season, playing at least 25 percent of snaps in just three games in 2025. The veteran fullback, instead, played a higher percentage of his snaps on special teams. Prentice was promoted to Denver's active roster from the practice squad for the first three games, ultimately leading the Broncos to sign him to the active roster for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so he'll perhaps be signed back with the Broncos based on his familiarity with head coach Sean Payton's system. If not, he'd likely garner interest from other teams around the league.

Andrew Beck TE | NYJ
Jets' Andrew Beck: Catches two touchdowns in 2025
Beck caught six of nine targets for 45 yards and two touchdowns while rushing once for five yards over 17 regular-season games in 2025.
The 29-year-old from Texas tied his career high in touchdown receptions during his first season with the Jets, finishing tied for the second most on the team. Beck also played a significant role on special teams, logging 315 snaps and recording eight total tackles. After signing a one-year, $1.34 million deal with the Jets last offseason, he's now set to hit unrestricted free agency. Beck likely will land with a team in need of blocking help and special-teams depth ahead of the 2026 season.

J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Season cut short by foot injury
Dobbins (foot) ended the 2025 campaign with 153 carries for 772 yards and four touchdowns, adding 11 receptions (on 14 targets) for 37 yards across 10 regular-season games.
Dobbins ended up leading the Broncos in rushing yards despite missing the final seven games of the regular season. The 27-year-old running back had a strong start to his sixth season, as he handled the majority of touches out of the backfield ahead of rookie RJ Harvey, Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin. A foot injury suffered Week 10 required surgery, forcing him to miss the remainder of the campaign. Though Dobbins proved to be a good signing when he was on the field, his issues with durability remain a concern. The veteran resumed practicing in a limited fashion ahead of Denver's AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots, but he was ultimately not quite ready to play. It appears he's on the right track in his recovery, boding well for his ability to be ready for next season. However, where he'll be playing remains a mystery, as Dobbins will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason after signing a one-year deal with the Broncos last June. If the Ohio State product returns to Denver, he'd likely split time with Harvey, whose development after Dobbins went down should earn him consistent playing time in his sophomore season. When he's healthy, Dobbins figures to draw attention from several running back-needy teams around the league.
