  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Ravens' Melvin Gordon: Goes back to practice squad

Gordon reverted to Baltimore's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Gordon played on a healthy 40 percent of the Ravens' offensive snaps in a Week 3 loss to the Colts, which was second most among running backs on the squad behind Gus Edwards (44 percent). Gordon wasn't very efficient on the ground, gaining just 32 yards on 10 carries, though he added 23 yards on two receptions. Edwards exited early Sunday and currently is in the concussion protocol, and Justice Hill missed the game entirely with a foot injury. With that in mind, Gordon not only could be brought back to the active roster for Week 4 in Cleveland, he could feasibly start if neither Edwards nor Hill are able to play.

  • Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Only three touches

Hubbard finished with just one carry for two yards and two receptions (on three targets) for two yards in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Seahawks.

Hubbard logged a season low in touches despite featuring for one-third of Carolina's offensive snaps. After an efficient first couple weeks, his nearly non-existent output Sunday emphasized the downside associated with his backup running back role.

  • Chris Evans RB | CIN

Bengals' Chris Evans: Inactive against Rams

Evans is inactive for Monday night's game against the Rams.

With Evans the odd man out in the Bengals' Week 3 backfield, Trayveon Williams and Chase Brown are available to handle complementary snaps versus Los Angeles behind top running back Joe Mixon.

  • Zach Evans RB | NYJ

Rams' Zach Evans: Inactive again Monday

Evans (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Monday in Cincinnati, Stu Jackson of the Ram's official site reports.

Evans, a 2023 sixth-round pick, now will kick off his career with three consecutive healthy scratches. With Cam Akers dealt from Los Angeles to Minnesota last week, the Rams will continue to roll with Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers out of the backfield, while Royce Freeman will be available in case of emergency and on special teams. Evans' next chance to make his pro debut is Sunday at Indianapolis.

  • Tank Bigsby RB | PHI

Jaguars' Tank Bigsby: Scores TD in loss

Bigsby rushed twice for 10 yards and a touchdown and failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's 37-17 loss to the Texans.

The 22-year-old played just nine offensive snaps in the blowout loss, but he received some run early in the third quarter and punched in a one-yard touchdown after a long pass-interference penalty set up Jacksonville at the goal line. D'Ernest Johnson had a similar workload while starter Travis Etienne dominated the backfield with 23 touches for 138 yards from scrimmage. Bigsby has just nine carries for 23 yards through three games, though he's received some goal-line work with a pair of scores.

  • Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Active for first time this season

Vaughn is listed as active Monday versus the Eagles.

The Buccaneers made Vaughn a healthy scratch for the first two games of the campaign, but with fellow running back Chase Edmonds landing on injured reserve last Wednesday due to an MCL injury, the former will have a chance to make his season debut Monday. Rachaad White is the clear No. 1 RB for Tampa Bay, and undrafted rookie Sean Tucker is the backup, so Vaughn may be contained to special-teams work and the occasional snap on offense.

  • Commanders' Antonio Gibson: Held to 24 total yards

Gibson had two carries for 17 yards and caught three of five targets for seven yards in a 37-3 loss to Buffalo on Sunday.

He played a season-high 61 percent of snaps with the Commanders chasing a multi-score deficit all day, but it didn't add up to much production on a brutal afternoon for the team overall. Gibson has seven carries for 35 yards and seven catches for 61 yards through three weeks, while backfield mate Brian Robinson has a 47-216-2 rushing line and 3-49-1 receiving. A Week 4 trip to Philadelphia could mean another game with Gibson playing more than usual and Robinson a bit less.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Back from suspension

Kamara was officially reinstated from his suspension Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

With Kamara having completed his three-game suspension to start the season, the running back now is on track to join the Saints backfield Sunday against the Buccaneers. With Jamaal Williams (hamstring) on IR and set to miss at least three more games, Kamara figures to step into a key role immediately in his looming return, with fellow RBs Tony Jones and Kendre Miller also candidates to log touches Week 4.

  • DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC

Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Three touches in win

Dallas recorded two carries for seven yards and caught his only target minus-2 yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Panthers. He also totaled 55 yards on two kick returns and 41 yards on three punt returns.

Dallas has yet to play more than nine offensive snaps in a game this season. He has been quite effective as a returner thus far, but his offensive usage will remain limited now that Zach Charbonnet is ramping up as the No. 2 option behind Kenneth Walker.

  • Ty Chandler RB | NO

Vikings' Ty Chandler: Has 31 total yards in backup role

Chandler had three carries for 27 yards and one reception for four yards on two targets in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.

Chandler worked as the backup to Alexander Mattison and played on 12 of the offense's 83 snaps. While Chandler showed a spark in the running game (9.0 YPC), he could move to a third-string role Week 4 at Carolina if Cam Akers joins the active game-day roster after his trade from the Rams.
