  • Colts' Nyheim Hines: Racks up 75 scrimmage yards

Hines carried seven times for 58 yards and caught all four of his targets for 17 additional yards during Sunday's 44-27 win over the Raiders.

Hines gashed the Las Vegas defense for 8.3 yards per carry but saw his attempts limited as Jonathan Taylor rumbled for 150 yards on 20 carries of his own. He finished third on the team in targets and hauled in every pass thrown his way, but his long gain in that department went for just six yards as he finished with his lowest receiving output since Week 4. Still, Hines has been productive while averaging 13 touches per game over the last four and should have a great chance to pad his stats next Sunday against a dismal Texans defense.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Tops 140 total yards

Ekeler carried the ball 15 times for 79 yards and also caught all nine of his targets for 67 yards in the 20-17 win Sunday over the Falcons.

The Chargers relied heavily on a variety of different screens fairly early in the contest, allowing Ekeler to rack up the targets. A mundane offensive approach didn't really corral the speedy back, but it definitely hampered the team's ability to score as the Chargers were in the red zone just twice all afternoon. Since returning from a six-game absence, Ekeler has immediately returned to his featured role with Kalen Ballage essentially operating as the obvious run-only spell back. Expect more of the same next week in another juicy matchup, this time against the porous Raiders defense.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Held in check vs. Colts

Jacobs (ankle) carried 13 times for 49 yards and caught three of five targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 44-27 loss to the Colts.

Jacobs, who came into the game nursing a nagging injury, managed just 3.8 yards per carry against a tough Indianapolis front. His rushing attempts were limited by a lopsided score, and he failed to make a notable impact in the passing game despite receiving his most targets since Week 1. Assuming Jacobs didn't aggravate the injury, he'll look to get back on track Thursday against an inconsistent Chargers defensive unit.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Enjoys career game in dominant win

Taylor carried 20 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns while adding two catches (on two targets) for 15 yards during Sunday's 44-27 win over the Raiders.

Taylor gashed the Las Vegas run defense for 7.5 yards per carry as he easily set a new career high in rushing yardage. His 62-yard touchdown in the third quarter was also his longest run of the season, and he later added a three-yard score for his first multi-touchdown game. Taylor came into this game in great form and will look to feast again next Sunday against a Texans defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in virtually every category related to stopping opposing running backs.

  • Steelers' Anthony McFarland: Not playing Week 14

McFarland (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday in Buffalo, Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

The absence will mark McFarland's fourth of the season, as the Steelers will ride James Conner in his first action since two games missed due to residing on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Any reps that don't go to Conner will trickle down to Benny Snell and Jaylen Samuels.

  • Bengals' Trayveon Williams: Gains role in backfield

Williams carried the ball 12 times for 49 yards in Week 14 against the Cowboys. He added three receptions for 14 yards.

Williams took over as the Bengals' lead back after Giovani Bernard fumbled on the opening drive. Williams was fairly effective on the team's subsequent possession, gaining 22 combined yards between receptions and carries. However, he fumbled the ball deep in Dallas territory and was subsequently benched for the rest of the first quarter. After re-entering the contest, Williams managed to lead the team with 12 carries and could see an increased role in Week 15 against the Steelers if Joe Mixon (foot) remains out.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Limited to 14 touches

Elliot carried the ball 12 times for 48 yards in Week 14 against the Bengals. He added two receptions for 11 yards.

Elliot split carries evenly with Tony Pollard, who drew 11 rushes and also added two receptions. In addition to the limited volume, Elliot was largely held under wraps and logged just two rushes of five or more yards. Elliot was a limited participant in practice throughout the week due to a calf injury, which may have encouraged the Cowboys to limit his workload in a game they controlled. Monitoring Elliot's practice participation leading into the team's Week 15 matchup against the 49ers could offer some insight into his expected workload for that contest.

  • Bears' Cordarrelle Patterson: Receives six touches

Patterson rushed six times for 26 yards in Chicago's 36-7 victory over the Texans on Sunday.

Patterson continued to serve as the change-of-pace running back to David Montgomery, and he was targeted just once as a receiver. Although he came into this game posting at least 40 combined yards in three straight contests, his lack of upside combined with a low-scoring floor makes him a difficult player to trust in the fantasy playoffs.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Dings shoulder against Panthers

Gordon (shoulder) ran for 68 yards on 13 carries, adding three receptions for 23 yards during Sunday's 32-27 win against Carolina.

Gordon banged up his shoulder late in Sunday's win, providing clarification for why Phillip Lindsay shouldered the majority of the RB work over the latter stages of the contest, per Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site. Practice involvement for the two-time Pro Bowl back will merit monitoring this upcoming week, but he has been rather efficient of late when on the field, delivering 5.5 yards per carry with two rushing scores over his past five outings. Immediately prior to that sample, Gordon had been held to 4.0 yards per carry or worse in three consecutive games Weeks 7 through 9. An upcoming matchup against the Bills is not as formidable as it was this time last year, with Buffalo ranking 24th against the run in 2020.

  • Ronald Jones RB | DAL

Buccaneers' Ronald Jones: Solid output in win

Jones rushed 18 times for 80 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of two targets for four yards in the Buccaneers' 26-14 win over the Vikings on Sunday.

With Leonard Fournette a healthy scratch, Jones enjoyed a clear lead-back workload and was productive with it, contributing his sixth rushing touchdown of the campaign late in the first half to help round out a solid fantasy afternoon. The carry tally was the highest for Jones since Week 10 against the Panthers and helped Tom Brady pick his spots through the air against a Minnesota defense that played relatively well overall. While Jones' 19 touches Sunday are mildly encouraging, fantasy managers likely don't need reminding that with 10 or fewer totes in three of the prior four contests, the third-year back's role can often shrink without warning. Jones will hope to replicate his workhorse status in a Week 15 matchup against the tough Falcons run defense.
