Devin Singletary RB | NYG
Bills' Devin Singletary: Scores TD vs. Raiders
Singletary carried 18 times for 55 yards and a touchdown while catching five of six targets for another 21 yards during Sunday's 30-23 win over the Raiders.
Singletary managed just 3.1 yards per carry and received a season-high 18 totes with rookie Zack Moss (toe) out of action. He totaled just 76 yards on 23 total touches but salvaged his day from a fantasy perspective with a two-yard touchdown plunge in the fourth quarter. Singletary seems to have earned a starring role in the Buffalo backfield for the time being, but the team would surely like to see him do more with his looks next Sunday against the Titans.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Totals 32 yards
Hines carried the ball nine times for 24 yards in Week 4 against the Bears. He added three receptions for eight yards.
Hines wasn't heavily utilized in the offense, as Jordan Wilkins matched his nine carries. He did provide a spark to the offense on a drive late in the first quarter, recording a rush and reception of 12 and 15 yards, respectively. The Colts have shown a willingness to employ a run-heavy approach early this season as they've often led games. While that's led to three victories, it is not conducive to Hines' success, which comes primarily as a receiver with the chance to work in the open field.
-
Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Leads way with nine carries
Edwards recorded nine carries for 38 yards in Week 4 against Washington.
Edwards led the Baltimore backfield with nine carries, though Mark Ingram tallied just one fewer. While he was on the field to close out a comfortable win, Edwards was also involved early on, earning two carries on the team's first offensive possession. Despite maintaining a substantial role in the Ravens' offense, Edwards has not recorded more than 10 rushes in a game this season and has yet to be targeted in the passing game. That lack of volume makes it difficult to rely on him as a regular producer.
-
Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Earns 17 carries
Taylor rushed the ball 17 times for 68 yards in Week 4 against Chicago. He added one reception for 11 yards.
Taylor was once again the lead back for the Colts, working ahead of both Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins. While his longest rush of the game was 16 yards, he managed additional chunk gains of 11 and 12 yards. He was unable to put together a huge performance due to the Colts' inability to reach the end zone but has now racked up at least 14 touches in each game since Week 2 in Marlon Mack's (Achilles) absence. He'll face a tough defensive front in Week 5 in a matchup against the Browns.
-
Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Held in check by Bills
Jacobs carried the ball 15 times for 48 yards and caught three of four targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Bills.
Buffalo's front seven didn't give Jacobs much room to roam, and his 3.2 yards per carry was his worst single-game average so far this season. The second-year back should be more productive in Week 5 against a Chiefs defense that's given up 5.3 YPC through its first three games.
-
Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Bears' Cordarrelle Patterson: Quiet performance
Patterson rushed three times for five yards in Chicago's 19-11 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Even with Tarik Cohen (knee) placed on injured reserve, Patterson's role in the offense didn't change, as he had three carries and two targets. He's averaging 20 yards per game as a runner and receiver, and aside from leagues that award points for return yardage, he has very minimal fantasy value.
-
David Montgomery RB | HOU
Bears' David Montgomery: Receives 13 touches
Montgomery rushed 10 times for 27 yards and caught three passes for 30 yards in the Bears' 19-11 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Facing a swarming Indianapolis run defense, Montgomery rarely had any room to operate on the ground, and he failed to gain more than six yards on any of his rushing attempts. With the Bears trailing throughout, they were unable to run a balanced offense, keeping Montgomery from seeing a bigger workload. With at least 57 combined yards in each game this season, he'll continue to be a top-24 running back with a solid weekly floor.
-
Alexander Mattison RB | MIA
Vikings' Alexander Mattison: Scores TD after Cook injury scare
Mattison registered 17 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries during Sunday's 31-23 win against the Texans.
Dalvin Cook momentarily exited the game with an apparent injury at the 11:27 mark of the fourth quarter, and Mattison stepped into a red-zone opportunity and delivered a four-yard TD run to provide Minnesota with a two-possession lead. Cook was able to quickly return to the contest, limiting Mattison to three more carries and six rushing yards the rest of the way. Mattison will remain the Vikings' clear No. 2 option at running back as the team transitions into a Week 5 matchup against Seattle's top-five rush defense.

Austin Ekeler RB | WAS
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: In line for multi-game absence
Ekeler is slated to miss multiple weeks due to the hamstring injury and hyperextended knee that he suffered during Sunday's 38-31 defeat at Tampa Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
In the wake of a first-quarter hit, Ekeler was in significant pain and couldn't put any weight on his left leg in his attempts to get off the field. He required a cart to get to the locker room and didn't make another appearance, and after the game he needed crutches and was wearing a brace on the leg. Looking ahead, the Chargers play five more games before a Week 10 bye, so there isn't a respite for Ekeler in the immediate future. In the meantime, the team will need to make due with Joshua Kelley and Justin Jackson out of the backfield.
-
Antonio Gibson RB | NE
Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Powers Washington offense
Gibson carried the ball 13 times for 46 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against Baltimore. He added four receptions on five targets for 82 yards.
After Gibson showed glimpses of promise in Week 3, he provided a breakout performance one week later against the Ravens. He commanded 13 of the team's 22 rushing attempts, including a goal-line carry that he converted for a two-yard score. Gibson also showed explosiveness in the passing game, taking a screen pass for 40 yards halfway through the second quarter. He appears to have taken over as the clear lead back in Washington's backfield heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Rams.
