Damien Williams RB | ARI
Chiefs' Damien Williams: Breaks through in Week 9 win
Williams rushed 12 times for 125 yards and a touchdown and secured both his targets for three yards in the Chiefs' 26-23 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Williams' made his fantasy day with a spectacular 91-yard scoring run midway through the third quarter that erased a 16-10 deficit. The veteran running back hadn't eclipsed 30 rushing yards in any game this season prior to Sunday, however, and he'd have barely accomplished the feat against the Vikings had it not been for his game-long scamper. Therefore, Williams will remain a speculative play going into a Week 10 battle against the Titans.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Garners 116 total yards in loss
Cook rushed 21 times for 71 yards and brought in four of seven targets for 45 yards in the Vikings' 26-23 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Cook came into the contest with sky-high expectations due to the favorable matchup against a suspect Kansas City run defense, but he was mostly contained throughout the contest. The star running back had a long run of 12 yards, and fell short of the 100-yard mark on the ground for the third time in the last four games. Cook did encouragingly continue with his solid passing game role, as his four catches tied for the team lead and pushed his reception total over the last two contests to nine overall. Cook will look to boost his production in a Week 10 battle against the Cowboys in a Sunday night battle.

David Montgomery RB | HOU
Bears' David Montgomery: Finds end zone twice
Montgomery rushed 14 times for 40 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 36 yards in Chicago's 22-14 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Montgomery had just a single yard at the half, but once the Bears were trailing by double digits, the offense started to move the ball better, and he was able to punch in two of his three goal-line carries in to help get Chicago back into the game. He was mostly shut down on the majority of his touches, but a 17-yard run and a 30-yard reception accounted for almost half of his scrimmage yards. For the first time this season, he's put together back-to-back useful fantasy performances, and his recent usage makes him a player can now be considered a RB2.
-
Mark Walton RB | MIA
Dolphins' Mark Walton: Quiet in team's first win
Walton rushed 12 times for 29 yards and caught three of four targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 26-18 win over the Jets.
Walton couldn't get much going on the ground, even against a Jets team that was missing the top four inside linebackers on its depth chart due to injuries. At least it's clear that Walton's now the lead back with Kenyan Drake out of the picture, as Walton got 12 carries to Kalen Ballage's seven. The little fantasy value to be found in Miami lies in the passing game, but Walton will at least be a strong candidate to keep receiving double-digit touches against the Colts in Week 10 and beyond.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Another multi-touchdown game
McCaffrey carried the ball 24 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns in Week 9 against the Titans. He also added three receptions for 20 yards and another score.
McCaffrey was once again the driving force behind the Panthers' offensive production, accounting for three of the team's four touchdowns. His most explosive play came with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, when he cut through the middle of the field for a 58-yard touchdown. Notably, after the long score, McCaffrey went through concussion protocol and was held out of the remainder of the game due to "an abundance of caution", Brendan Marks of The Charlotte Observer reports. While it's not expected this injury will impact his status heading into the team's Week 10 matchup against the Packers, it's a situation worth following throughout the week.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Not slated to play Sunday
Conner (shoulder) is not in line to play Sunday against the Colts, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Conner's status will become official once the Steelers release their Week 9 inactives, but in his anticipated absence, Jaylen Samuels is slated to head the team's backfield Sunday, with Trey Edmunds on hand to serve as the No. 2 option.
-
James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Not expected to suit up Sunday
Conner (shoulder) isn't expected to play Sunday against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Conner was listed as doubtful after not practicing this week so it will be no surprise if he doesn't suit up, but Schefter more worryingly indicated his availability for Week 10 against the Rams is also in question. Jaylen Samuels should operate as the Steelers' top running back Sunday, while Trey Edmunds is expected to serve as the No. 2 option.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
49ers' Raheem Mostert: Suits up, receives just one carry
Mostert (knee) took his lone carry for a loss of two yards in Thursday's 28-25 win over the Cardinals.
Mostert carried a questionable tag due to a knee injury up until game day. The speedy back was able to suit up, but the drop in usage may be related to his health. We will see if his carries increase against the Seahawks next Monday, but it is clear that Mostert is firmly behind the starting duo of Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Good to go in Week 9
Jacobs (shoulder) does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Jacobs was limited at practice all week as he managed a shoulder issue, but it's something he played through in Week 8's loss to the Texans, en route leading the Oakland backfield with 15 carries for 66 yards and two catches for 15 yards. He'll look to up his production Sunday against a Lions defense that is allowing an average of 130.7 rushing yards per game, which ranks 26th in the NFL.
