  • Raiders' Raheem Mostert: Falls behind Jeanty

Mostert will be joined by No. 6 overall pick Ashton Jeanty in a new-look Raiders backfield.

The Raiders never figured to settle for the 33-year-old Mostert as their lead back, unchallenged, but there was at least some chance he'd compete to be 1A in a committee. He instead figures to be purely a backup, behind one of the best RB prospects in recent memory. The good news for Mostert is weak competition for backup roles, with the Raiders otherwise rostering Zamir White (quadriceps), Sincere McCormick (ankle), Dylan Laube and Chris Collier.

  • Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Facing competition from Harvey

McLaughlin has new competition for snaps after Denver used the 60th overall pick on RB RJ Harvey in the 2025 Draft.

The addition of competition was a matter of when, not if, after the Broncos lost Javonte Williams (Cowboys) from a backfield that was among the league's worst in 2024. McLaughlin caught on with the team as an undrafted rookie in 2023 and has proven elusive while averaging 4.8 YPC on 189 career rush attempts, but there's no real precedent for mainstream fantasy value from a running back his size (5-foot-7, 187 pounds) who isn't an asset in the passing game. McLaughlin has scored four of his six TDs on receptions, but with a meager average of 4.3 yards on 55 catches. He'll hope to be part of a committee again in 2025, with some risk of falling out of the picture in the event Harvey (5-foot-8, 205 pounds with 4.4 speed) proves himself a capable workhorse.

  • Ulysses Bentley: Slated to join Colts

Bentley is in line to sign with the Colts as an undrafted free agent, Mike Chappell of Fox Sports reports.

Bentley carried the ball 84 times for 419 yards and five touchdowns during his final season at Ole Miss and alsoo added 13 catches for an additional 99 yards. As the Colts currently have little proven talent in their backfield behind Jonathan Taylor, Bentley could have the chance to compete for a depth role.

  • Jaguars' Ja'Quinden Jackson: Another RB set to join Jags

Jackson signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.

The Jaguars drafted two running backs -- Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen -- and will add Jackson to a room that already has Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby. Jackson's a big back (6-foot-2, 236 pounds) that lacks speed (4.75 40-yard dash), but he led Arkansas with 790 yards and 15 touchdowns on 149 carries (5.3 YPC) in 2024. He faces stiff competition to earn a roster spot.

  • Corey Kiner RB | ARI

Corey Kiner: Slated to sign with Niners

Kiner is slated to sign with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent, Scott Springer of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Kiner topped 1,000 rushing yards in each of his final two seasons at Cincinnati, and he caught all 16 targets as a senior. The 23-year-old lacks breakaway speed but is a compact runner (5-foot-9, 208 pounds) and showcases strong balance as a runner. He's far from a lock to make the 53-man roster, but there's always upside for a running back in a Kyle Shanahan system.

  • Raheim Sanders RB | CLE

Chargers' Raheim Sanders: Set to sign with Chargers

Sanders signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent.

Sanders started out at Arkansas as a wide receiver but moved to running back as a sophomore and quickly found his groove, piling up 1,443 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. His production cooled off during his senior season at South Carolina, where he posted 881 yards and 11 touchdowns on 183 carries (4.81 YPC) in addition to 27 receptions for 316 yards and two scores. Sanders joins a crowded backfield with no clear No. 3 option behind Najee Harris and first-round pick Omarion Hampton, providing a viable path to a roster spot in Los Angeles.

  • Tre Stewart RB | MIN

Vikings' Tre Stewart: Heading to Minnesota

Stewart signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent.

Stewart spent four seasons at Division II Limestone before leaping to Division I Jacksonville State for his final college season. The 22-year-old running back didn't miss a beat, contributing immediately with 1,638 yards and 25 touchdowns on 278 carries (5.9 YPC) in addition to 18 receptions for 234 yards and a score. Stewart is a bit smaller (5-foot-9, 192 pounds) and doesn't have standout speed (4.50 40-yard dash), but he's an effective runner that held up with a high workload. He'll aim to carve out a depth role in Minnesota.

  • Montrell Johnson: Set to join Philadelphia

Johnson is slated to sign with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Johnson played for Florida for the past three seasons, and 2022 was arguably his most productive year, as he finished with 155 carries for 841 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 12 catches for 58 yards and another score. He runs physically through defenders and isn't shy to work between the tackles, but his lack of production as a pass-catching back could limit his trajectory at the NFL level. Assuming he signs with the Eagles, Johnson would compete for a depth spot at running back behind Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley and AJ Dillon.

  • Marcus Yarns RB | NO

Marcus Yarns: Plans to sign with NOLA

Yarns is slated to sign with the Saints as an undrafted free agent, John Hendrix of AthlonSports.com reports.

Yarns didn't hear his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft, but he appears to have a path to earn a spot on the Saints' 53-man roster for the upcoming regular season. He was named to the First Team All-CAA roster in his final season in Delaware despite missing two games due to a leg injury, and he finished the 2024 campaign with 133 carries for 844 yards and six touchdowns while adding 17 catches for 297 yards and five scores. Edwards struggles to brush off contact within the tackles, but he's a strong outside runner in the open field and brings versatility as a pass catcher out of the backfield.

  • Donovan Edwards: Set to join Gang Green

Edwards is slated to sign with the Jets as an undrafted free agent, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

Edwards spent his four-year college career with Michigan. His best season came in 2022, when he rushed for 991 yards and seven touchdowns on 140 carries while adding 18 catches for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Once viewed as a potential top-100 pick, Edwards saw his YPC dip from 7.1 in 2022 to 4.4 over the 2023-24 seasons. He displayed a lack of patience while manoeuvring around the trenches, but his quickness and pass-catching ability give him a chance at cracking the Jets' 53-man roster. If the signing is official, Edwards will use OTAs and training camp to compete with Isaiah Davis, Kene Nwangwu and Zach Evans for a depth spot in the running back room behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen.
