  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Not practicing Wednesday

Stevenson isn't participating in practice Wednesday due to a calf injury, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald report.

Per Callahan, Stevenson left this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins for a few plays due to the calf injury, but the running back downplayed the issue afterward. Stevenson's status will be revisited again Thursday, but even with an absence to begin Week 6 prep, the Patriots haven't indicated that his availability for this weekend's game against the Texans is in danger.

  • Bills' Darrynton Evans: Set to return to practice

Buffalo designated Evans (hamstring) for return to practice Wednesday, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

Evans spent the first five weeks of the season on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury he suffered during the Bills' last preseason game, but now that he's been cleared to practice again, he'll be eligible for activation ahead of Monday's game against the Jets. The Bills will have a 21-day window to evaluate Evans in practice, however, so the team could instead choose to bring him back in Week 7 or 8 if they're not confident that he'll be ready to go for Monday's contest.

  • Giants' Devin Singletary: Slated to practice Wednesday

Head coach Brian Daboll said that Singletary (groin) will participate in practice Wednesday in some capacity, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

The expectation is that Singletary will be listed as a limited participant, but the extent of his activity won't be known until the Giants publish their first Week 6 injury report later Wednesday. After missing New York's first two sessions of Week 5 prep, Singletary handled limited reps last Friday, then was inactive for the team's upset win over Seattle on Sunday. Rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy impressed with 18 carries for 129 rushing yards versus the Seahawks, and he may have earned himself a larger role out of the backfield in Week 6 even if Singletary is healthy enough to return for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Browns' D'Onta Foreman: Dealing with ankle issue

Foreman won't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

In the Browns' Week 5 loss to the Commanders, Foreman was on the field for 21 of the team's 62 snaps on offense, finishing the day with nine carries for 44 yards and one reception for 16 yards. With a Wednesday absence looming, Foreman's status for Sunday's game against the Eagles is now worth monitoring. He had been working as the No. 2 option out of the backfield behind Jerome Ford, but even if Foreman overcomes the injury ahead of Sunday's contest, he could slide down to third on the depth chart if the Browns activate Nick Chubb (knee) from the PUP list this week.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Missing practice Wednesday

Cook won't practice Wednesday due to foot and toe injuries, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

According to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com, Cook is banged up coming out of last week's loss to Houston and now falls into the day-to-day category ahead of Monday's game against the Jets. Look for added context regarding Cook's status to arrive no later than Thursday, when the Bills will post their first official Week 6 injury report. While Cook is sidelined for at least Wednesday's session, Ty Johnson and Ray Davis are next up for reps out of the backfield.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Not practicing to begin Week 6

Taylor (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Taylor, who missed this past Sunday's 37-34 loss to the Jaguars, has two more chances to return to practice ahead of this weekend's game against the Titans. If the running back is forced to miss a second straight game, Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson would be in line to share backfield duties for the Colts in Week 6.

  • Ray Davis RB | BUF

Bills' Ray Davis: Minimal usage in loss

Davis caught one of his two targets for four yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Texans.

Davis was barely involved in Sunday's contest, playing just two of the Bills' 61 offensive snaps. The rookie running back failed to see a single carry for the first time this season. Davis' minimal involvement makes him nothing more than a handcuff to James Cook going forward. The 24-year-old will hope to be expand his usage in Week 6 when the Bills visit the Jets.

  • Saints' Jamaal Williams: Plays minimal role in loss

Williams tallied two rushes for nine yards during Monday's 26-13 defeat versus the Chiefs.

Williams logged five or fewer touches for the third game in a row. The 29-year-old running back has not seen significant playing time since the Week 2 blowout versus Dallas, as Alvin Kamara has shouldered most of the workload even while Taysom Hill has been injured over the last three weeks. Williams saw more usage as a kickoff returner over the past two weeks, but there's no signal that he'll start to get more opportunities on offense moving forward. His best odds of seeing the field will come in either blowout wins or losses.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Totals 30 yards versus Giants

Charbonnet rushed twice for 11 yards and caught three of five targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 29-20 loss to the Giants.

Kenneth Walker recorded five carries and seven receptions for a combined 76 yards, as the Seahawks committed to the passing game with 40 pass attempts. Charbonnet hasn't played more than 41 percent of the offensive snaps in any of the three games in which Kenneth Walker started, so his reps will likely be limited again Thursday versus the 49ers.

  • Myles Gaskin RB | SEA

Vikings' Myles Gaskin: Signed off practice squad

The Vikings signed Gaskin off their practice squad Tuesday.

Gaskin had appeared in each of Minnesota's first five games, seeing most of his snaps on special teams while carrying three times for minus-1 yard to go with an 11-yard reception. With Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell labeled lead back Aaron Jones (hip) as week-to-week heading into the team's Week 6 bye, Gaskin will be on hand to provide depth behind top backup Ty Chandler if Jones is unable to play in Minnesota's next game Oct. 20 versus the Lions.
