Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Cowboys' Royce Freeman: Picked up by Dallas
Freeman signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Freeman spent his first three seasons with the Broncos before stops with the Panthers, Texans and Rams the last three years. The journeyman tallied 319 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in Los Angeles last year across 14 games. Dallas lost Tony Pollard to free agency, so its running back room currently consists of Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn (ankle), Malik Davis, Snoop Conner and Freeman. Freeman could get an opportunity to carve out a role for himself, but the Cowboys still seem likely to invest in the position during the 2024 Draft.

Emanuel Wilson RB | SEA
Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Sticks in Green Bay as ERFA
The Packers re-signed Wilson on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
An undrafted rookie in 2023, Wilson made the Packers' initial 53-man roster following the preseason and even mixed into seven regular-season games, taking 14 carries for 85 yards and hauling in four of five targets for 23 yards while working behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. Green Bay swapped out Jones for Josh Jacobs and also retained Dillon this offseason, meaning Wilson is poised for a similar role in the coming campaign, barring further additions to the backfield in free agency or the draft.

Ronnie Rivers RB | LAR
Rams' Ronnie Rivers: Inks contract tender
Rivers signed his contract tender with the Rams on Monday.
Rivers suited up for nine games in 2023 as a backup to Kyren Williams, logging 32 carries for 129 yards and while securing all five of his targets for 22 yards. He and Zach Evans could have a chance to compete for the No. 2 backfield role this offseason, pending Los Angeles' additions in the 2024 NFL Draft and/or free agency. Rivers has looked solid in limited action as a pass catcher, which could open further paths for opportunities on offense if he's able to impress in the coming months.

Craig Reynolds RB | NE
Lions' Craig Reynolds: Back to Detroit
The Lions re-signed Reynolds as an exclusive rights free agent Monday.
Reynolds appeared in 16 regular-season games last year, rushing 41 times for 179 yards and one touchdown. He also secured all five of his targets for 47 yards. Now having re-upped with Detroit, he figures to reprise a depth role behind Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Takes pay cut
Chubb (knee) agreed Thursday to restructure his contract with the Browns, lowering his $11.75 million base salary while adding additional incentives, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Chubb is coming off a severe left knee injury that involved surgeries to repair his ACL, MCL and meniscus, but the Browns have consistently stated that he wasn't considered a cut candidate, according to Cabot. Restructuring his base salary into a more manageable figure solidifies the notion that Chubb will remain in Cleveland for the final year of his deal in 2024. Depending on his performance, Chubb could reportedly make back the entire sum of his initial salary, but he'll first have to return to full health and return to the field. Should Chubb's recovery into the start of the regular season or result in him being limited in the early weeks, the Browns will have new backfield additions D'Onta Foreman and Nyheim Hines (knee) available to help carry the load along with holdover Jerome Ford.

Bryant Koback RB | SEA
Bryant Koback: Lands on retirement list
The Seahawks have placed Koback on the reserve/retired list.
Koback, who spent time on the Eagles and Seahawks' practice squads last season, didn't record a regular-season snap as a pro. The 26 year-old running back entered the NFL in 2022, when he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Vikings after four collegiate campaigns with Toledo.

Alfonzo Graham RB | PIT
Alfonzo Graham: Cut by Pittsburgh
The Steelers waived Graham on Thursday, Chris Adamski of TribLIVE.com reports.
Pittsburgh signed Graham as an undrafted free agent in 2023, but the team has now decided to move in a different direction. The 24-year-old running back sustained a torn labrum in his right shoulder last offseason, which forced him to miss all of the Steelers' 2023 campaign. Graham has since moved past his shoulder issue, and he'll have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot elsewhere as the offseason progresses.

Patrick Taylor RB | SF
49ers' Patrick Taylor: Finds home in San Fran
Taylor and the 49ers agreed to terms on a one-year contract Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Taylor spent the last four seasons in Green Bay, suiting up for 34 regular-season games from 2021 through 2023. During that time, he largely contributed on special teams before taking on an increased depth role on offense in 2023, when he rushed a career-high 32 times for 141 yards in 11 appearances. Heading into his first training camp with San Francisco, Taylor will compete for a depth role behind Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Re-signs with Super Bowl champs
Edwards-Helaire has agreed to a one-year deal to remain with Kansas City, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Edwards-Helaire, who turns 25 on April 11, is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he took 70 carries for 223 yards and a TD, while catching 17 of his 22 targets for 188 yards and a receiving score in 15 regular-season contests. Now that he's signed on for a fifth year with Kansas City, the 2020 first-rounder is set to work in a complementary role behind top option Isiah Pacheco in a backfield that also currently rosters La'Mical Perine, Keaontay Ingram, Deneric Prince, Hassan Hall and Louis Rees-Zammit. Edwards-Helaire's fantasy upside is modest as long as Pacheco is healthy and available.

J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
J.K. Dobbins: Meeting with Kansas City
Dobbins (Achilles) is visiting Kansas City on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Dobbins met with the Chargers last week, shortly after orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache notified NFL teams that the running back has medical clearance for football activities. The 25-year-old is coming up on the seven-month mark since suffering an Achilles' tear in Baltimore's Week 1 win over Houston. Schefter's report Tuesday morning suggests Dobbins is expected to sign a contract soon.
